I stayed at several motels on my trip and this motel was by far the best. Clean, good amentities in the room, which were lacking in most of the other motels. I appreciated this. The service was great and friendly. I would stay here again without hesitation. And the breakfast was a true breakfast. More than anyone else provided.

When i first walked into the room i noticed the carpet hasn't been vacuumed in months and im not Exaggerating...Cobwebs on the curtains. I spoke to the front desk and they will come up there to clean the room again... It definitely looks like a party hotel (Motel).I will never stay at a Extended Hotel Again...

Nice but needs some esthetic and comfort upgrades

Our room was on the second floor of the Anchor Inn. We had a nice view from balcony with a partial view of the water. A bit of disappointment was the bathroom because it had two large wall patches in the tub area that were not painted including the walls where they meet the ceiling. Also the bottom portion of the tv cabinet was damaged and not well maintained. The beds were comfortable but the mattresses should either be rotated or replaced because of worn in body positioning. The entrance door and door sill (rotten wood) was leaking outside air when windy outside. Room lighting definitely needs to be brighten up and a comfortable chair added.

For 15 years I have been coming to the Anchor Inn when I am in Chincoteague. Always the best staff and clean rooms.

Understaffed in all areas. Breakfast is poor unless you wanted cereal and muffins or barely warm food. The gas firepits are nice but bring lots of bug spray if you want to be out after dusk.

The place was very clean and nice! My only complaint is that the free breakfast is only for two people a day. So if you are a family of four, you have to pay for two. And the breakfast definitely wasn’t worth that.
