The gentleman at the front desk (manager) was very accommodating and helpful. It was our first time in Christchurch and he took the time to give us some guidance on where to go and visit for the few days we stayed there.It's a short distance form the airport which made it very convenient. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Thankful that room was complete with appliances I needed - iron,hair dryer,fridge, microwave, coffee pot,etc. Lastly, same manager was kind enough to drop off a bag we had accidentally left at our room when we rushed to the airport for our departure flight early in the morning.. Wish I had gotten his name. Thank you so much!

The room was very clean and the appliances was above our expectation. The front office staff, Shirley, went out of the way to make our stay problem free. She was most courteous and kind and went beyond and over her duties to make our stay memorable. The excellent host we came across in our many travels. The motel is only 10 minutes from Christchurch airport and 20 minutes to the city center by Metro Bus. Very convenient location. I would recommend the Airport Palms Motel to all who are looking for a convenient, clean best place to stay.

We felt like the staff here went above and beyond the norm during our stay here. At one point the desk manager loaned me his personal phone to order a pizza (from Pizza Paradise, also good) because my phone wasn't working. They gave us good advice on sights and events around town. The housekeeping was friendly and efficient and the room and hotel grounds were very well kept. We stayed 2 days at the start of our visit and 2 days at the end.

I loved the towel warmer and the electric blanket. This was our first night, and I wasn't used to the humidity. The lighting of the room was better than in most hotels.

Good basic motel. Reasonable sized room and clean. Worked well for us flying into the airport and renting a vacation camper van the next day. Nice coffee shop across road and half block down.

Clean room, decent size bathroom, micro wave, iron, fridge, AC ETC were the amenities. Bus to go to Westfield and The Crossing mall is literally outside the motel. Friendly people in CHC generally. There is a very big park about 5/6 mins walk when you turn left from the motel. Metro service is good and cheap. One can get a day pass for 10 dollars from the bus terminal or by cash on the bus.
