Our stay at Strowan House 1 was beyond expectations. Rose our host met us on arrival and was most gracious in answering all our questions and helping us get settled with all our needs. Transportation to city centre by bus was outside our door, most convenient. The home was spotlessly clean and well stocked with all amenities such as towels and kitchen supplies. We would definitely stay again.

Rose and Graham could not have been more gracious and accommodating as we planned our stay in Christchurch. SH1 was perfectly situated for access from CHC airport upon arrival, and walkable to nearby cafe and restaurants, along w. a chemist. Easy distance to Merivale or Northlands for groceries and other provisions, and quick navigation to University of Canterbury and Riccarton Bush by car

In Christchurch to watch some golf

We came to Christchurch for 5 nights to watch a golf tournament. The location was great, the place is spacious, comfortable and Rose set it up so that we could have the 2 singles as a king in the bigger bedroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hopefully we will return next time we’re in Christchurch.

Family stay for a week. Walking distance to local shopping area for essentials. Short drive to central city. House was very good. Modern, clean, well appointed, warm. What a great spot, what a lovely place!

Perfection. I'm a fairly heavy user of hotel chains, apartment rentals, and other forms of accomodations, and it's been a true delight to stay here for my Christchurch visit this week. Everything was amazing. Everything was lovely - even the rain and hail, seemed to make the stay more pleasant in this place.

A home away from home

This property was perfect for our needs. It was a haven to come home to, after busy days sight-seeing. It is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped, and we appreciated the little extras that were provided. We were able to easily access the city each day. We would definitely stay here again.
