Worst place to Stay

The lock box does not work properly. The property is poorly maintained with lights fused. We left our kids at the place and went out to get groceries and my kids called to say that they are in darkness as the lights don't work. The technician came the next day after we complained and fixed it but this should not be the case. The toilet was dirty and seat it stained. It looks very dated. The shower cubicle is small and does not have a hand shower or shower screen. It has a curtain though but it does not prevent the floor getting wet. There is a fused light in te toilet. There is no air-conditioning upstairs so summer afternoons can be very warm. The kitchen was horribly dirty and we had to clean up ourselves before use. We decided not to use the oven because it requires major cleaning. The Fridge was dirty. The kitchen utensils and cutlery was all dirty and stained. The frying pan was sticky and with left over food muck. There is no non stick frying pan. The plastic ladle was all melted and dirty. the mugs all look dated with stains. The sugar was lumped, looked like it was old. Even the garbage bin cover was dirty. The location is bad. Far from the city. You need to take an Uber if you don't want to pay for parking in the city. No views. You cannot park in the garage because there is not enough turning circle for bigger cars. Our was a Camry. However you can park on the road side for free.

Good location in the city center, the living area is very quiet, the room is very tidy, just for car parking is not easy, otherwise it is perfect, I will choose here again if I travel to Christchurch again.

Comfortable and Sunny - yep!

We upgraded our rental to a larger vehicle so it didn't fit in the garage and the driveway was really narrow. We appreciate the neighbour at the back allowing us to park where we could so that it was off the road.
