There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and walls.
Dead baby flies on the lamp shades. The light bulb for our patio light was burnt out and I requested a new bulb twice and they never replaced the old bulb. The lock for the patio door was corroded and rusty.
The grounds could have been better kept.
We only ate once at the the restaurant. Our food was served cold.
Bathroom located in pool area was disgusting! Pool tiles missing and the pool was dirty.
Location for the hotel was amazing!
Management should pay better attention to detail! Needs some TLC, if so The Palms could be a great place.

The property needs rust proofing. Everything from the lamps in the room to the shower rod in the bathroom to the light fixture outside the door is rusted.

The Palms is an older resort. I know it was recently purchased so previous reviews probably relate to the previous owners. The room was in need of an update and the bathroom door was broken. But the location of the room and the views were incredible. As my intention was to only sleep in the room I was fine with that. The staff was mostly friendly. Some more than others. A HUGE shout out to Ramon who was friendly, helpful and always available if needed. He made up for the other staff people who were distant and indifferent to the guests. We loved the food during the day (breakfast and lunch were amazing) Dinner, not so much. I am guessing there were 2 different cooks for the different shifts. We opted to eat an early dinner pretty much every night so we could get the lunch menu and the 1st shift cook. The location of the hotel is on the windward side of the island, so we had pretty strong wind in the mornings. But it was a very quiet area and the sounds of the waves were all we heard at night. Apparently hotels in Fredricksted are also right on the beach but there is a lot of foot traffic so its not nearly as quiet as Christensted, which is where the The Palms are located.. They had entertainment every evening. Which was great because we didnt want to have to travel at night. The area is safe, but driving on the left is already difficult enough without having to drive at night. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Its not as luxurious as other "resorts" I have been too, but homey.

We had the best time! The Palms exceeded our expectations. We met the owner, as she was helping out the bar and made our special drink requests. The beach was stunning and our room was so comfortable. Our last night was the night of the fire dancers, which was so fun! Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday.

This was our first trip to the island. We were very satisfied with this property. We loved the friendliness of the staff, pool, and the view was amazing. We will be staying here in the future!

Very nice little resort. Everyone was super-friendly. Good food, awesome pours at the bar, very clean pool to lounge beside. Could not have asked for more! Do rent a car, though. You don't want to limit yourself to where you could take a cab. Explore all over!

All employees were very friendly and helpful especially Mitch.
