False Advertising! Buyer Beware!

The photographs in Hotels.com website of In Town Suites - Fairfield, room choices did not, in our experience, depict the room we rented. The carpet was filthy and stained from spilled liquids, sticky substances and caked dirt. Likewise, the vinyl flooring was spotted, dirt caked and sticky. The exhaust fan over the 2 electric cooking burners was caked with oily dust so badly we were afraid it would fall into our food if we used the burners. There was no filter between the fan blades and the cooking surface. The faucet handle of the kitchenette sink repeatedly fell apart in our hand and the temperature of the water was impossible to regulate between hot or cold. The bathroom sink was pulling away from the wall and the calking was coated with dirt and mold. The mattresses were old and rutted. The vinyl upholstery on the 2 chairs was severely cracked with the stuffing exposed in wide gaps if more than 2 inches. The kitchenette was not stocked so that we could immediately cook. We had to supply all of our own cooking pans, utensils, dishes, silverware, cutting boards and pot holders. The Closets lacked coat hangers. After the first “complementary” roll of toilet paper we had to buy our own. We were told, after booking, there are no refunds and no other “traditional” priced rooms were available This is not a cost effective alternative to traditional motel rooms! Buyer beware and forewarned!
