Beautiful views from the room over the surrounding countryside. Very good food in the restaurant with gluten free options available or easy to arrange. Clean and spacious room and bath room with good rain shower. Perfect place to stay for walking the surrounding hills.
Great hotel in a beautiful location. The views are beautiful. We had spacious but cosy room 3 on the top floor of a separate little building which was delightful. Fantastic views and a wonderful bath! We had dinner and breakfast and both were very good. The staff are amazing, very attentive and friendly and make you feel at home. We definitely stay here again and for longer next time.
A very welcome overnight stop on our way to the Lake District - not too far from the M6 but in a beautiful part of the country. The room was very comfortable and the hotel was charming - a peaceful village location with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. We enjoyed a great evening meal and the breakfast was very good. Definitely would return if heading to that area again.
Lovely hotel/lodgings. Beautiful bathroom!
Nice and warm room.
Cosy fire at the bar which was nice and cosy .
Tastefully decorated.
The food looked gorgeous as it was taken past us going to the restaurant, and we will eat here next time.
***Big shout out to Phoebe, our breakfast waitress. The breakfast chef didn't show up and until the replacement chef came, she was run off her feet supplying us all with toast and tea and coffee etc.
She was fabulous and super friendly ***
Downside -:the bar shut at 10 because they were quiet, which we sort of understood, but would have been nice to come back to the hotel and gafeva few more drinks or a nightcap
Overall I would definitely recommend and we will be back
