I would like to thank Ken for providing the nicest VRBO I have stayed at. This house was perfect for a spring break fishing trip with my son and grandson. The dock is literally steps from the back door where we caught flounder, speckled trout, crabs,and croakers. Perfect to dock the boat. First time a house has had everything I am used to having in the kitchen. There is a small full service grocery store 2 miles from the house. This area near Dauphin Island avoids the traffic and long drives I have experienced at most beach areas. We are already thinking about a next trip.

Mr. Ken was a great host. We were looking for a nice quiet getaway and this was exactly what we were looking for. We decided last minute to take this trip and Mr. Ken had the house ready early for us to start our vacation. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and catching crabs off the dock!

Beautiful property on the water

Property manager was amazing to work with, I had accidentally not booked for all the days of our trip, messaged him, and he extended the stay with no hassle at all. Property was clean and nice, staying on the water made docking the boat at the house a breeze. I will be booking this property again in the future. 10/10 recommend

Always a Wonderful Stay

This has to be the most enjoyable place to come home to after a hard day's work. Watching the wildlife in the back yard or fishing removes all stress. I will seek this stay out when I return to the Fowl River for work. Thank you, Ken!

Wonder Stay

This is a great spot for a work trip or a family vacation. Lots to see in do in the area plus plenty of nature in the back yard. We saw fish, hummingbirds, herons and squirrels just to name a few. A great home and host!

Laid back

The house was beautiful, and everything they said in the ad was spot on. I took my grandson out back to fish and it wasn't long before he caught one. I loved the place and definitely will be recommending to family and friends. The only problem was the wifi it could have been better.

Peaceful Getaway

We were looking for a place that was convenient to Mobile & Dauphin Island. This was a great location with a beautiful setting on a canal leading into Fowl River. We really enjoyed using the crab traps and just listening to all of the birds while drinking coffee on the back porch. Ken & Sheila were fabulous hosts and even offered to mail back some clothing we accidentally left behind.
