Colorado Christmas Vacation

Staying at this property was a great experience for me and my children the owner had everything you would need to have a lovely vacation and experience the snow. All kinds of games and all the cooking material you could ask for, everything labeled and clean. I would definitely recommend staying there if you have a big family so much space and the Jacuzzi was so relaxing!!

This location is a little ways from Colorado Springs but has spectacular views and great amenities. My kids loved the location and it had everything plus what we needed. Steve was an excellent host and easy to get a hold of.

The rental had everything we needed plus more. It was on the High Plains in Colorado which was 30 minutes from downtown Colorado Springs It wS a little far but worth seeing all the beauty the plains have to offer.

Loved all the amenities. Steve was very responsive. Very remote location. Closest decent store is well over 20 miles away. Very quiet neighborhood. Beds were very comfy. We had a good time.

Steve was a very friendly host and the house was just great!! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked to cook in, plenty to do for all ages!! He was so nice and welcoming, gave us some local tips and made our trip excellent!! We will definitely be back!!

Great place for family downtime

We booked this property for USAFA parents weekend. It is approximately 60 minutes from base which was fine. Grocery store is about 30 minutes away, so plan accordingly. Entry was easy with the electronic locks. The house is well appointed and had everything necessary for our cadets to decompress. The washer and dryer worked well and the kitchen was very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. It is apparent that the owner genuinely wants you to feel at home and was very responsive to questions we had. Our cell service did not work but the wifi was more than sufficient for us to make phone calls, surf, etc. While the neighborhood is an older, rural one (looks like it may have been off-base enlisted housing at some point), it appeared safe and was very quiet. The house is on a dead end street (we think?) and across the street is nothing but prairie and mountains. The neighbor has a rooster which was no big deal for us, the rooster or it's owners, may partake in 420 or they own a skunk; you be the judge. We all enjoyed the pool table, dart board and large smart tv. There is an outdoor sitting area with a screened in fire bowl. If you plan on using it, make sure to grab firewood on your way in from town. There is also a large charcoal grill as well but again, grab your charcoal/supplies on your way in from town. It would be nice if there was a way to turn off the security light on the shed, as the night sky is beautiful there. We had an issue with the hot tub which we made the owner aware of. We will definitely stay here again.

Great place

Comfortable stay, clean, really well stocked kitchen and plenty of toiletries. The pool table and darts were a fun diversion but we mostly were just there to sleep and we spent the day visiting family in the Springs. Really nicely kept inside, a bit overgrown out front but that didn't detract from our stay. A lot of little personal touches made it really feel like staying in a loved home, down to the books on the bookshelf, versus some of the more sterile, sparse, and empty rentals I've experienced. A little far (20-30 minutes) from conveniences like a grocery store, so plan accordingly and making a stop on your way in should solve that.

We all had a wonderful stay at your home. It was about 45 mins out from all the activities we did but it worked out fine and we just planned ahead. We had 4 adults and 3 children but we had plenty of space. I would just recommend that the bedrooms listed be updated as only one of the rooms had 2 twin beds. There was a pull out twin in the living room that we used so it wasn't a issue for us. We all enjoyed ourselves and Thank you for having us.

The owner was very nice even let us come in out of the rain early to the house! We had four children and two adults and we all had our own space and everyone enjoyed being there. We were given the Wi-Fi password because our service was bad And Netflix was set up for the kids. We had a great stay!

Never again

This place was gross from the minute we opened the door. There was a horrible odor that we had to find it was a bucket of rotten food sitting on a shelf in the kitchen. Then started a load of laundry and went out to sit on the patio next thing you know I have water running all over my feet the washer just pours the water out on patio it’s not hooked to nothing. The grills were filthy one even had mold in it. The owner wasn’t even there when we arrived he couldn’t come till the next day but called him on the phone he gave us the code to get in. He did show up the next day to show us how to run the hot tub. He never really went over anything with us. And thank god 2 of the 8 were unable to come because they wouldn’t of had a bed because the one room that is suppose to have 2 beds only has one. Location is terrible in a trailer park community with dogs barking all night cats fighting and the trailer next door has chickens and goats very noisy. Would not recommend this home or VRBO since VRBO obviously doesn’t make sure that these homes are as they should be.

Exactly what we wanted!

This house had everything as advertised and much more that wasn't! The pictures really don't do the inside justice. We were nervous at first driving as far as we did into the countryside for this property, but it was everything that we were looking for. The owner was so accommodating and was more than generous to host our group. The kitchen is much more extensive than we were expecting and had every appliance you could hope for. The beds were extremely comfortable and there is a flatscreen tv in almost every room. I rented this place for my girlfriend's birthday, and she gave me the biggest hug once we got inside because it was the cutest home and had everything you could ever want for a weekend out. We could not have asked for a better experience for such a great price.

Beautiful home

The pictures did no justice the house was amazing! He was there to greet us when we arrived and provided a complimentary bottle of liquor! He was great with communication. Only down fall is the hot tub didn’t arrive until our second day and wasn’t ready before we left so we didn’t use it but regardless everything else was great! I will say the master bedroom does not get as warm as the rest of the house but I will definitely stay again when I come back to visit!
