Private Mountain Cottage! King Bed * 8 Acres
This fully updated, fully furnished, quiet cottage is located in the Black Forest in Colorado Springs and just a couple of miles from great hiking and biking at the Pinery and Section 16 Trail. It sits back on the lot to insure privacy and a quiet stay. The property is surrounded by fences, a well lit sidewalk, and motion sensors, which allow for a secure, safe stay. We do allow pets (with pre-approval) and even have goats and chickens for you to watch from the comfort of your private deck.
Enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine while you watch one of our gorgeous sunrises or sunsets from the comfort of your own deck. There are beautiful mountain views from your porch and even a few goats to watch as you relax and unplug. PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE GOATS. As you enter the cottage you will be greeted with an open concept kitchen and living room complete with tall ceilings, a loft (that is NOT for use, Sorry) a full sized refrigerator, oven and stove top. The living area has a comfortable couch that converts to a full size bed for any extra guests or kiddos. You have a tv with all the latest streaming. The primary bedroom is quite large, with a huge window that invites the forest views right in. There is a smart tv, full size washer and dryer and a bathroom with shower and tub combo. This cottage truly has everything you need and nothing you don't. The cottage rests on 8 acres of lush forest next to our main house. We are minutes from some of the best trails Colorado Springs has to offer for mountain biking and hiking. Pop down to Black Forest Rd for some delicious coffee and breakfast at R&R (we love their breakfast sammiches) or get dressed for dinner and head over to The Black Forest Bistro for an award winning dinner.

Snowed In for Spring Break
Owner was very accommodating to let us book an additional night at the beginning of our original booking due to a snow storm. Property was clean and compact. Goats were adorable and we enjoyed our stay.
Neither pictures nor narrative conveyed there are 18 steps from required parking space to front door. Although we were allowed to park temporarily closer for move in and move out (6) steps, the steps for everyday comings and goings at altitude of 7000â was challenging for us, 78 and 81.
We enjoyed our stay overall. There were a few things that were not working but did not affect our time there. (Front porch light did not work. Tried changing bulb but it still did not work, patio screen did not stay in track and would not open properly)
Overall, we enjoyed the cabin but mostly enjoyed our time with our grandkids!! Thank you for your hospitality.
The coffee maker didn't work. 2 light bulbs in living room were burned-out. Ceiling fan in bedroom didn't work. The outside light in front wasn't working and the weren't very safe.
It was advertised for 4 people but 2 adults couldn't sleep on the pull out sofa and weren't weren't allowed to use the loft.
