Amazing staff!!!

The staff at this hotel is what made it stand out amongst the competition. They were beyond welcoming and friendly and communicative. There is a fair amount of road noise with a street facing room but that is not a reflection on the hotel or staff but more just a fact of the downtown location. I will be staying here for each of my visits while visiting my student over the next 4 years!

This property is basically on campus of U of SC. It’s a basic Marriott Courtyard but …. The staff is what sets it apart. Never have I stayed at a hotel and been treated so wonderfully. EVERY staff member made us feel wrlcome, was helpful, and we spotted them soo much. Only recommendation is the bar area is Altra bright at all hours which is kinda off putting but prob by design 😂.

Terrible experience

Check in started out great. First employee was very friendly and courteous. I asked to extend my stay and the second staff member who processed my request was very cold and unfriendly. I asked about the free breakfast and he stated that it was not included in the extra days that I was booking. I went to breakfast the next morning of my stay and was told by the server that she was the only one there and I was served a microwave bacon and egg bagel with lukewarm coffee. I had to ask for napkins, and all other condiments that should have been included. No smile, no how are you, no courteous treatment at all Will never stay at that property again Disappointed is an understatement
