The Rocheport Honey House! Historic & remodeled home!
Our 2 Bedroom, 2 Full Bath historic bungalow is nestled right in the middle of the quaint town of Rocheport. Just a few steps from the Katy Trail, some of Rocheport's fabulous shops & restaurants, and the winery - this full home will make the perfect location for your quick weekend getaway or your longer stay! We love the inviting floor plan with the large original stone fireplace with gas insert, open kitchen & dining to prepare meals, remodeled bathrooms, and the light & bright feel of the home. It backs to Moniteau Creek, allowing for beautiful views every season of the year, and perfect bird watching with your cup of coffee in the morning. The deck provides ample seating along with a BBQ grill. The backyard also has a firepit! The bedrooms (all on upper level) have abundant space and provide for a peaceful night of sleep. The added walk-in shower or soaking tub will be a delight to your stay! Washer/dryer available for use in the basement. Towels/linens & toiletries provided!
This house was perfect for us! 4 longtime friends to get away and catch up. We had everything we needed and plenty of space. The beds were comfy and we enjoyed hanging out in every room as well as the deck. The home was very clean and well thought out! The location was excellent and within walking distance of everything we enjoyed in the city as well as the walking trail.
Such a charming place to stay in Rocheport. Sleeping accommodations were perfect for our group, also the living room and kitchen were perfect for hanging out. The house was within walking distance to pickleball courts, bike trail, shopping and restaurants. Looking forward to a return trip.
Comfortable, well equiped home in a small, quiet town. A short driving distance from Columbia and Booneville. Enjoyed sitting on the back deck and enjoying a bottle of wine from a local winery and a walk on the Katy trail. the tv in the living room either didnt work or, more likely, required more detailed instructions for senior citizens like us.
We loved spending 2 days at the Honey House. It has so much charm and youâve updated, but didnât take away the charm. We enjoyed the shops and the artists in town also.
The Honey Bee House was a great spot for our family cycling trip on the Katy Trail. We've now visited twice and love the downtown Rocheport location and character of the home.
We stayed here for daughterâs graduation weekend. It was close to Mizzou, but still far enough away to be able to have a relaxing weekend far from the chaos of campus. Lots of space to spread out, great deck, super clean, responsive hosts, and close to cute shops & the Katy Trail. We would definitely stay here again!
Great location for riding the Katy Trail! Perfect setup for three couples to visit and hang out in the evening. Whether outside by the fire pit or inside watching football, eating meals or playing cards - plenty of room to hang out and visit. Near shops and The Rocheport General Store.
First: We were missing part of the instructions to enter property. It had ants in the kitchen, and dirty washcloth in lower bath that was not properly cleaned. The kindness of a Rocheport business saved the day for our getting into the property.(Thankful for their intervention.)
Well stocked and well designed two story bungalowâgreat for a small family or couple looking for small- town charm and a relaxing weekend. Close to restaurants, winery, hiking/biking trails, all kinds of antique and art shops. Love the wooden floors and the walk-in shower. It is in a very convenient locationâI loved staying here!
A Very nice little house in Rocheport, MO until we checked in. Trouble with Electronic lock which owner was quick to help with. We loved the look of the remodeled kitchen & bathrooms, until we looked in drawers & saw mouse poop! Mouse poop on counters & on dresser in bedroom. Pulled back the bed covers & you guesed it, mouse poop. That was the deal breaker. We got out of there after seeing that!
Overall, was a nice experience. Master bed and bath upstairs were amazing!
We may have challenged the kitchen more than usual, as we cooked the full, traditional Thanksgiving meal. Kitchen lacked some measuring spoons, cups and other cooking/baking utensils.
Gas grill on deck appeared rusted out and unusable (not willing to take a risk with gas and an open flame đ).
There were several plastic bags on the ground under the deck that appeared to be dog feces. We avoided them and just focused on the fire ring in the backyard already loaded for us with kindling to start a nice fire (although we had to borrow a lighter from the local store as the lighter in the kitchen drawer was out of fluid).
Had a wonderful stay with our pups - just a short ride to the Katy Trail. Only one restaurant open for breakfast while we were there, but Meriweatherâs was great! Fall colors just beginning to show!
The Honey House is a wonderfully remodeled house with great amenities. If you want to vacation in a quiet setting or cycle to your heartâs content on a scenic bike trail this is an excellent place to go.
We used the Honey House in Rocheport as our home base for moving in our two boys into Mizzou. It was an extremely convenient location yet away from the frenzy of move in week at Mizzou. The house was charming and had everythng we needed. Loved the little town as well. Enjoyed the shops, restarants, and winery. Even did a bit of cycling on the Katy trail. We will definately be back.
We loved our stay at the Honey House. Perfect location, and great spaces to relax together. Jessica was a very responsive host. We will definitely stay here again.
