A really excellent small hotel, ideally located in the centre of town and with easy access to the Erskine Arms opposite for breakfast and dinner.
Room was really comfortable with all facilities, including plenty of tea and coffee available at all times, and well equipped.
Room was well maintained and kept extremely clean by the efficient staff
Almost impossible to find anything to criticise with the hotel or pub so definitely well recommended.
On our trip throughout Wales, this was one of our favorite hotels! The town is charming, and the Y Capel is so cool! Rooms are unique (a former church) but comfortable-- and we were so grateful for air-con in the unexpectedly hot summer. Would happily stay there again and definitely recommend!
Look no further! This property has it all and a fantastic team to ensure your holiday exceeds expectations. Inside the walled town of Conwy, Y Capel and Erskin Arms will not disappoint.
excellent room and loved the ambience of the place and town . been through italy switzerland and france over 24 days and this was our best relaxing nught
My room (#4) was a massive room on the ground floor. Everything was lovely. The bed was comfortable. I especially liked the extra floor fan and the common area. Just beware that the windows in #4 overlook the small parking lot. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was delicious.
Cute, quirky place to stay. Parking is tricky and the streets are very tight. No minibar or frills. Good shower. Bed was very firm with minimal padding- not good for folk with back problems.
Charming hotel in converted church. Excellent location in the heart of the old town. They had a special room in the pub for guests. A lovely dining experience.
Great accommodation right in the centre of Conwy with onsite parking (bonus). Lovely breakfast taken at sister hotel Erskine Arms. Refreshments in room including bottled water which would have been nicer if a fridge was available.
This is an excellent choice for a stay in Conwy. Everything is really at your doorstep, and it's just a few minutes walk to the water, castle, walls, and shops. St. Mary's Church (behind the building) makes an excellent shortcut! While we were warned about the church bells, we did NOT notice them. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Parking was an added plus.
The room was very pleasant but the mattress had seen better days so very little sleep....even my partner who can normally sleep anywhere!
Breakfast was a mixed bag....Eggs Benedict very good but the full Welsh and cold table was very disappointing and couldn't possibly be the 'best breakfast in Wales'!
Dinner the night before was nothing special and very noisy.
The location is great, near the centre of the town The related Erskine Arms is lovely with attentive and helpful staff and nice food. The breakfasts were very really good. Nice big rooms and plenty of hot water.
The only downside was the beds. In our first room, the mattress needed replacing, as the springs had gone. In the second, the plastic mattress protector made for a sweaty night. The staff were very helpful in arranging a room change. Book a table for dinner at a weekend. As it turned out we were lucky, late on Good Friday. Thanks to a very helpful restaurant supervisor. Conwy is lovely, so would stay again despite the minor irritations.
Stayed overnight on our way to our Easter Anglesey break .Chose the balcony room which was a lovely room with a great shower .Breakfast is at the Erskin Arms, just across the way.Was very tasty .Fully recommend and looking forward to our next visit
Wonderful and enjoyable visit but the young people at night got loud as they left the bars. The talking, yelling, and music went on past midnight. Not good, my wife was not happy.
