We picked this for the location, price & cleanliness. These things were fair. The service wasn’t the best, had a hard time figuring out and getting answers regarding parking. The room service was fast but they kept forgetting things. There is some kind of shelter next door after it gets loud at night and constant noise where people have yo ring a buzzer on an intercom to get it. It kinda bothered our sleep when we left the window open for air. It seemed a little scary if you were walking alone but we didn’t do that too much. The breakfast was ok. I would have probably just ate out more if I knew ahead of time.

Excellent staff and location. The full Scottish breakfast was quite a treat. The lounge/bar is open past midnight. Lovely city views overlooking River Lee. Just blocks from the bustling city centre of Cork. Jus blocks from the Kent Train Station.

TV in room was not a Smart TV thus could not stream internet (eg Netflix). Temperature of shower water would occasionally go scoulding hot (I assume when someone in adjoining room used tap or toilet). Window opening was tiny thus limited free air.

Fabulous staff & comfy room

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. From the front desk clerk giving recommending places nearby to eat, to the friendly breakfast room team and the extra assistant at check out. These were some of the best hotel staff I have encountered on my extended 3 month trip around Europe. The room was nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only concerns we had was the neighborhood was a bit rough and the walk to Oliver Plunket Street using the back alley (per our GPS instructions) for dinner was somewhat concerning. We took the walk back along the quayside by the bus terminal and that had better lighting and felt somewhat safer. I would recommend staying here.

Bad Neighborhood

Hotel was good. Area around the hotel very dodgy and felt unsafe. Could Also hear arguing in the street into the evening. Breakfast was okay- basic. No water in the rooms. Staff were very lovely.
