Das Arena Beach Hotel liegt am schönsten Strand der Insel. Und genau das ist das größte Highlight: der Arena Beach! Dieser Strand ist ein karibischer Traum, mit tollen feinem Sand ohne störende Algen oder Steinen , kaum Wellen - perfekt zum Baden!
Das Hotel bietet seinen Gästen viele Möglichkeiten dort zu entspannen. Kleine Cabanas, mehrere Liegen und viel Schatten. Zusätzlich gibt es ein Restaurant und eine wirklich tolle Bar an der man sich den ganzen Tag mit kalten Getränken versorgen kann. Dazu muss man sagen, dass der Service dort „karibisch-langsam“ ist. Man muss schon manchmal länger auf sein Getränk warten, was den einen oder anderen stören dürfte.
Was das Hotel meiner Meinung nach ändern müsste, ist der Zugang von Tages-Touristen zu all diesen Annehmlichkeiten, wie z.B. die Cabanas. Wenn man zu spät an den Strand kommt, kann es nämlich sein, dass man als Hotelgast keinen dieser Plätze mehr bekommt, da dort Leute sitzen, die für den halben Tag an den Strand kommen. Dort sollte es die Möglichkeit geben als zahlender Hotelgast immer einen Platz zu bekommen.
Die freistehenden Bungalows sind in jeweils 4 Einheiten unterteilt, wobei sich alle eine große Veranda mit Hängematten und Stühlen teilen.
Die Bungalows, sowie das ganze Hotel ist leider schon in die Jahre gekommen, was man leider an vielen Stellen merkt. Lose Wasserhähne, wacklige Stühle und löchrige Fussböden.
Trotz der kleineren Mängel lohnt sich hier ein Aufenthalt auf alle Fälle. Wir kommen wieder!

I recognize that the Corn Islands are not the place for luxury, but this place is way overpriced for what it is. The rooms are clean enough (but only on the surface), the mattress on the bed is as hard as a rock, and the prices in the restaurant/bar are ridiculous for Nicaragua. The walls between the rooms are so thin you can hear everything your neighbours say. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good, and the beach itself is quite nice. Service is abysmal - when I asked about going to Little Corn, the receptionist just pointed at the sign for the public pangas. Paying US$450 for 3 nights here is a huge stretch for what you get.

The breakfast is pretty great, but in general the restaurant wasn't amazing, especially considering the high prices. There are other options that are walkable, or within a $1-2 taxi ride, that are cheaper and better. There is NO potable water at this facility except for expensive bottled water, which is ridiculous. Also, if you're looking for a quiet beachfront place to get nice sleep, this is probably not the spot.

Great location on the beach but rooms are very basic. Didn’t always get hot water. Staff were very friendly. Lack of any atmosphere at dinner and little to do after meals.
