Sandy at the front desk was exceptionally kind. She even tracked me down when I dropped my AirPods in the lobby. The room (199) was spacious and very, very quiet. The bed was comfortable. The only suggestion for improvement is to add some healthy protein, like boiled eggs, to the breakfast options. Peanut butter would have been nice for toast.

The hotel is very dated. Clean, but needs updating, new carpet, etc… The hallways were freezing cold for some reason. The “gym” or “fitness room” is not a gym or fit for anyone to workout there. One working treadmill, bike, and an elliptical. That is all that was available. A cybex multi-use machine was in the room, but was not able to be used because it was broken. No mats, free weights, medicine balls, or any other sort or equipment. It was extremely hot in there and the water cooler did not even have a cooler installed on top for someone to get water. Pool was not “open for the season” even though it was indoors. That was not a big deal to us since we were not going to use it anyways, but I would think that families with young children might enjoy letting the kids swim for a bit during a getaway. Disappointed in this hotel and our stay.

The room was outdated, but clean overall. A bit of rust on some fixtures, a bit of hard water stains on the showerhead, but the water comes out nice and hot for a nice shower. The staff was courteous, the breakfast was ok. Even though there were pictures of scrambled eggs on the wall in the breakfast area, no eggs were served that morning(it would have been nice). the breakfast was cereal, muffins, english muffins, bagels, toast, yogurts, assorted fruits, etc. not bad, but wouldnt have minded some eggs. the last problem were the people with heavy feet in the room above us. This was at 130-200 in the morning! The desk person did their best to confront the problem at that time, the room occupants eventually did go to bed. My wife and I usually stay at the Staybridge Suites while in Corning, but we tried to save some money this time around. I guess you get what you pay for.

The room was dark as the bulbs were CFL type. The lamps were outdated with little wall switches. Bathroom light over sink did not work. Bathtub caulk had spots of black mold where tile and tub meet.

Bed covers had stains all over both beds. Changed rooms was not as bad but had same thing. Staff at check in was very nice and accommodating. Pool was not available. Said closed for season even though it is indoors. Clerk said the pool was broken. It would have been nice to know before booking.
