The Crown Hotel offers its guests room service (during limited hours). WiFi is free in public spaces. Limited free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Pros: Fairly cheap. Room was clean and a good size. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good restaurant nearby.
Cons: Road is quite noisy. Loud music playing nearby until late. En-suite was very small. Shower in main bedroom (bit weird). Parking was terrible and we got blocked in. Staff struggled to understand dietary requirements, so it's probably worth emailing ahead if you have any to ensure they can cater for you
Pros: Check-in was quick and easy; the staff were lovely. Breakfast was lovely, and you can have continental breakfast and also hot food, which is included.
Cons: The bed was hard and uncomfortable. I feel that some things need fixing, such as the ceiling and odd things here and there. Lastly, the bathroom isn't good for tall people over 5'11".
didn't have much hope looking from the outside but never judge a book by it's cover, we stayed in an apartment & was clean, spacious & great amenities. Breakfast was also good
Took so long to check in, 1 staff member only, had to phone from reception, she then checked me in.
The property was dirty and smelly, dirty bags of linen everywhere.
Room was small, warm, no opening windows and had a strange smell.
We left immediately.
Itâs rather down in the dumps on arrival, an old pub that no longer runs as a pub, but the room was clean, very well presented and comfortable. The stairs are very steep and I did struggle the two flights. You can park beside hotel. There is nothing to do in corwen. This is a good one night stop but would not like to spend longer there. The hosts try very hard and Iâm sure they donât make much
It was a one night stay as I was visiting the Llangollen Railway. The hotel is easily found as it's right in the middle of Corwen and within walking distance of all of the towns amenities. It has it's own parking. I checked in around 5pm which was an easy process and everything needed to know was explained. The lady at the reception desk was very polite and efficient. My room was on the first floor at the front with the main street right outside. My immediate concern was possibly traffic noise but I needn't have worried as there was some excellent secondary double glazing. It was surprisingly quiet. The room wasn't big but it had everything, a good TV, a neat shower room/toilet and tea making facilities. The bed was a firmer type but very comfortable and I slept extremely well. Breakfast was of the continental 'help yourself ' type and had a wide choice. It's obviously a popular hotel as there were a lot of people having breakfast. I felt my stay was good value and would certainly stay there again.
Quiet hotel in the middle of Corwen. Very old property but clean and the hosts were very welcoming. Breakfast was advertised as continental but did offer standard cooked breakfast so exceeded expectations. Parking is limited but space was found. Would stay again
Friendly staff and tasty breakfast! The room was comfortable, and my husband and I enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be coming back next time we are exploring North Wales.
This was our second time staying at the Crown Hotel. We very much enjoy staying here. Itâs super easy to access other parts of Northern Wales from her, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff very accommodating. The room was great too.
