Unbearable locatio

You cant get more central than this apartment sitting above the main shops. Having separate rooms for the 2 teenagers was a blessing with a separate parents retreat upstairs. No toiletries provided but we made do. Property manager was easy to contact and always responsive. Front door was down another level and needs a key to get in and out (deadlock only) which was a bit tricky with multiple family members coming and going. Would definitely stay again.

Nice House, Not Such Nice Hosts

The house itself is in superb condition; newly renovated, spotless, nice amenities in the kitchen and baths. The location is perfect; located on Main St less than a 5-min walk to the beach. However, two big downsides; first, the front door doesn't have a latch, so a simple gust of wind blows it wide open while random strangers are walking outside. Shocking to think that they spent so much money on the renovation but didn't bother to put a latch on the front door. Second, about halfway thru our stay, a friend of the host's who identified himself as "Croc" (no last name, just a nickname) came by and asked us to pay him in cash for an extra guest that was staying with us. We told him we didn't have AUD cash on hand but would happily complete the online payment request thru the VRBO platform. He refused to leave until we gave him cash (!!) and, after haggling with us for nearly 20 minutes, eventually gave up and left and submitted the payment request online. A complete violation of the VRBO guidelines/rules and just a flat-out rude way to treat paying customers. Totally inappropriate and unacceptable.

Park the car and surf.

Park the car and surf. The location is perfect and the house is awesome - spacious, clean and full of light. Walk to the point, golf, the club and pub 
 and of course the bakery downstairs.
