The Space:

With fantastic views of Mt. Crested Butte, Saddlehorn Retreat is your next vacation destination.  With 4 spacious bedrooms, 3.5 baths, 2 living areas, and a fantastic great room, this home couldn't be more comfortable.  Located within view of the ski resort on a quiet street in Mt. Crested Butte sits this wonderful home with almost 3,000 square feet of living space on an oversized lot.  Throw in an oversized yard for the kids, 3 outdoor decks, and a hot tub, and you will have a hard time leaving.  



Entering this home brings you into the largest mud room we've ever seen.  With a brick paver floor and seating for putting on your boots, be they ski, hiking, or your favorite pair of cowboy boots. It's a great place to store all of your gear whatever the season.  Open the french doors into the great room where the living, kitchen, and dining are all combined so the whole family is a part of the action.  This home lives all on one level other than 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs making it perfect for the family that doesn't like stairs.  The living room has plenty of seating and boasts a river rock wall with wood burning fireplace and flat panel TV.  The granite and stainless kitchen is fully stocked and open to the great room so nobody misses out on a great story.  The dining room table expands to seat 10 and is surrounded by windows offering a great view of Mt. Crested Butte.  There are two decks outside with a gas grill and outdoor dining. They also offer a great place to sit and enjoy a beverage as the kids play in the yard or sit in the oversized hot tub at the end of the day and soak your cares away!



Down the hall is the master bedroom with queen bed and en-suite bath.  There is a cozy reading chair in the master for that perfect book and morning cup of coffee.  Further down the hall is a 1/2 bath and guest bedroom with queen bedroom and en-suite bath with oversized shower.  Situated at the back of the house is the second living room with comfy leather sofa, television, a desk area should you need to use the WiFi to check in with work, and a great gas fireplace.  There is another large deck off this room overlooking the back yard.  



Upstairs you will find two additional guest bedrooms connected by a jack and jill bath that has a shower/tub combo.  One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two sets of bunks to store all the kids.  Outside you will find a heated garage and plenty of parking.  With room for ten, and tons of natural light, you might just have found your family's "go to" vacation home!



This property is also serviced by the new First Tracks free shuttle system. Click on the QR code in your welcome app and request a ride to the base area where you can ski or catch a shuttle down to town for shopping and dining. They come right to the property and it's FREE!

We had a great experience at this property. The home had everything we needed and was a close 2 mins drive to the mountain. We would definitely stay here again when we return to CB.

Wonderful Weekend

We had a group of 8 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone, from beds, dining area, living room, and storage for ski equipment in the mudroom. The house was exactly as listed and had some fabulous views! Would definitely stay here again!

Hard to beat the Butte

Property was as advertised/described- easy location to drop off skiers at base (never used shuttle). Large mud room was great for lots of gear- very nice property for our group. Management very responsive to roof ice issue by hot tub.

GREAT!!

We loved staying at this property while we were in Crested Butte! The house is literally 2 min from the base of the mountain and made for easy access to the slopes! The "mud room' might have been the best part!! Plenty of room to store all our skiis and boots and jackets after everyday in the snow! 100% recommend. And Iron Horse was great to work with as well, Communication on point!

Fantastic Blue Mountain Ski Lodge in CB!

We had an incredible 7-day stay at this blue mountain ski lodge situated just north of the Crested Butte Mountain Resort. We were comfortably situated even with 7 adults and 3 children. There were plenty of bathrooms and beds for everyone. The lodge is more spacious than the pictures show with an open floor concept that flows from room to room. The extra living room with its own gas fireplace was an awesome escape. The main living room also boasts an impressive wood fireplace and rock chimney. The private outdoor hot tub was clean and well kept and always hot. There were plenty of linens, towels, and hot tub towels for everyone for the whole week. The dining room table situated everyone comfortably. We were all cozy and comfortable in this tastefully decorated and homey ski lodge! An amazing additional feature was the snow crews that kept the roads (& driveways!) cleared of piling snow. They also shoveled the decks, including the back deck to the hot tub! The lodge is within a few short minutes by car or walking to get to the chairlifts at the base (Red Lady or Silver Queen). The First Tracks option is a free on-demand shuttle to get you to town or the resort! We also found easily accessible free (or paid) parking and areas for skier drop-off and pickup. It was all so close to the lodge! The town of Crested Butte was also not far away and offered easy access for groceries, shopping, church, and activities. Overall, a fantastic landing spot for your winter getaway!

Absolutely Perfect!

This place was perfect for our group of three families. We loved hanging out in the open kitchen/living room area. Great location, just a few minutes from downtown. Beautiful views from the house, pretty much every window had a gorgeous view. The only thing we had a VERY MINOR issue with was the thermostat. We couldn't figure out how to lower the temperature at night, so it got really hot in the rooms. The house was spotless, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Girls weekend getaway

This house was perfect for large group such as ours. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms as well as large living area connected to the kitchen. Easy drive down the hill to the ski resort. We really enjoyed our stay! We would have liked the DirectTV to be working, but that was not in the cards. Iron Horse management company sent someone out right away to look at it, but I think the satellite dish was covered in too much snow to get service. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Home close to Ski Hill

Iron Horse set us up in a lovely home that was walkable to the mountain and a bus that took you into town. When you're not skiing, check out Talk of the Town!

We had a wonderful time at this Crested Butte cabin! Beautiful views, close to the town of Crested Butte. The inside of the home was beautiful, and a big open floor plan was perfect for the family to all cook and hang out together. Highly recommend this property!!

Stayed there for Outerbike. Very nice place, closer to venue than expected and short drive to town. Deer and wild flowers in the back yard.

Clean, charming home with excellent location

We loved this house and have rented at least half a dozen other times in Crested Butte. The house was incredibly clean, tastefully decorated and not cluttered. The family room was beautiful and comfy with an amazing sectional and all the bedding was high quality. Several porches with beautiful views and a great yard for the kids to play! We also loved the separate tv room/study where my husband could work in the am. Our family will definitely try to rent this house again whenever we return to CB—no more need to try out others! Thanks for the wonderful stay!
