This place has a special place in my heart! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. A massive thank you to Karin who always got us to try new dishes during breakfast and always smiling ! The other lovely ladies at breakfast ( sorry lost the paper with the names ) were also very nice to us. So close to everything and the ambiance is 10/10. I would definitely stay here again !! Thanks for a great stay!

Check in was very good, lots of information, they gave us the Expedia room upgrade and it was an incredible room. The breakfast was very good, we didn’t use the restaurants but they looked very nice. The 2 swimming pools were very nice, although we tended to stay around the ground floor pool because it was bigger and had plenty of shade. It was just on the edge of old town so a convenient walk and not any of the noise. The hotel staff were very friendly, we would highly recommend this hotel

Felt like royalty staying here at The Hotel Royal!

We are travelling around Vietnam and have stayed in many hotels. THIS IS THE BEST ONE YET! 10/10. Beautiful rooms: free drinks (Coke Zero) in mini bar and the 2 pools were so luxurious! Staff wonderful in the check in area and the doormen so polite. A good location: near river & on the edge of tourist area/only 10 min walk in a straight line to the busy touristy stuff. The cleaning staff were a bit noisy at 8 am in the hallway today (we had wanted a lie in!). Got free chocs last night, however, as they did their turn down service! Breakfast was every food u could want! Staff there great/so hard working! My only disappointment was we had no balcony and it would have been useful to dry our swimming costumes on one after a swim just before we left. But that was Hotels.com at fault, as I showed the receptionist my phone app saying we should have a balcony and she said none of the rooms for 2 had balconies so it was not the hotel who had made that wrong statement.

Hoi An is a very Cool and Trendy place

The Hotel Royal Hoi An is full of class. Beautiful hotel with 2 great pools and beautifully furnished rooms that are spacious, very comfortable and a great big bathroom with plenty of clothes space. Upstairs pool and bar are great for an afternoon swim and drink. Breakfast is very good with a great selection of fruits, bread, pastries and hot food..All of the staff are excellent with Truc at reception with our checkin being a stand out. Explained all parts of the hotel in detail. Free bikes to use is a great part and the hotel is in a great location..5 mins ride to the very busy Old Town, yet quiet at the hotel with a lot of good restaurants and massage outside the hotel..the only upgrade the hotel needs is new bikes and treadmills in the gym as they look like 1980s models..LOL

Perfect Stay!

It was amazing!! We loved the stay and the hotel is impeccable. The room was beautiful with a balcony overlooking the river. The perfect touch to a busy day was the chocolate with the turn down service. We enjoyed our stay very much and will return hopefully one day.

My family and I are world travelers and we enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Hotel Royal. From the courteous staff, to the impeccably clean rooms, to the rooftop pools and excellent service and breakfast, we would stay here again in a heart beat! The location was great. It was outside of the ancient town and very walkable to everything. We enjoyed our river view room with the balcony.

Staff was attentive, nice, and efficient in returning all questions via email. They were also very helpful in arranging transportation. Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Spa was wonderful and Emma was the best! Buffet was a two thumbs up for having a variety of choices (Vietnamese, American, healthy, etc.). Great location too! I would def stay here again!
