walk to square! Cozy 2 BR bungalow, moody design
With eclectic design and decor and a subtle nod to the wizarding world, our goal is you leave Potter on Pine refreshed and inspired. Our cozy, moody bungalow is centrally located just a few short blocks from downtown and minutes from amazing local wineries. The magical vibes in our home combined with the small town charm of Dahlonega a provides plenty of opportunities to turn moments into memories during your stay!
I had no idea the house would be this old. Iâm not sure if it had been empty for a while, but even with the air conditioner on, there was a strong unpleasant smell. Although the place was cleaned, the air quality was so bad that I couldnât stop sneezingâit was really hard to stay inside. The smell and the air inside the house were unbearable. There was no proper parking space; we had to leave the car on the street. From the beginning, it was also very difficult to get in touch with the host. We checked in at 4 PM that day, but ended up packing our things and leaving around 2 AM because we just couldnât stay there.
What an adorable and comfortable place to stay! I'm a Harry Potter fan and to my delight the nods to the series was perfect! We were close to shopping in Dawsonville and steps away to downtown Dahlonega with all of it's Hallmark movie charm. Olivia was so helpful and replied immediately with any questions. This was an absolute delight! We can't wait to stay here again and already have friends looking to stay here!
Location was perfect for what brought us to the area. It gives a secluded, woodsy vibe, while still being in close proximity to town. House is dark, but welcoming, and the beds are comfortable. Would stay here again.
Photos provide a very accurate depiction of this unique property. Extremely clean and featured some welcoming touches such as the complete coffee bar making us feel very much at home.
We are older seniors so we had a few things to work around like the bed being up against the wall and no safety bar to help step in and out of tub. Your place is cute and you have done well with the decorating. We did enjoying making a fire in the firepit. Thanks for the fire wood.
We booked Potter in the Pines to enjoy the Christmas events in, Dahlonega, Ga. The cozy cottage was as promised: the location was ideal for walking to all events in town during the day and evening. It was also a great location for driving to surrounding locations and events. Taco Bell was also a plus.
Our stay was perfect start to finish! Potter on Pine was very charming and clean, had everything we needed, and was the perfect location for walking downtown! Love this place and would definitely stay again!! Thank you for everything, Kim
Itâs behind a taco bell off a busy main road .. there was a Uber eats with loud car back and forth every night ⊠that would be the only downside otherwise it was great and host provided all your needs and more . Cute property .
We enjoyed our stay at potter on pine. Our 7 year old noticed the HP hints right away and we ended up watching several of the movies while we were there. We also enjoyed the books and touches of Christian decor. We purchaced a copy of 2 books that we discovered while we were there. The childrens story bible and the american red cross first aid manual. Both very cool and we look forward to having a copy of both at our home. If we had more time I'm sure we would find many more must have titles. There were more than enough comforts of home available and check in and out was easy. The walk into town was an easy and scenic 12 minutes.
We had an incredible stay at Potter on Pine. The house is perfect for a couple and we loved the opportunity to bring our dog with us. Olivia is super helpful and an attentive host. Will definitely be back!
Everything was very clean & comfortable. Within a short walk to downtown & restaurants. Host was communicative and everything was exactly as described. Would definitely stay again!
We loved the hints of Harry Potter and enjoyed the close location to town and wineries and Amicalola Falls. We drove everywhere and didnât walk to Main St. Took advantage of the fire pit, and all the coffees and snacks were great. Would definitely stay again!
