I usually stay at this Holiday Inn Express when I come to Dallas and generally have no issues. Check-in was easy and the location is convenient. This time, I arrived at night and noticed the entry light in my room wasn't working, which made it difficult to see at first (no biggie). While getting ready in the bathroom, I moved the trash can and noticed a cockroach. I informed the front desk and was told the room would be sprayed in the morning. I've had good experiences here in the past, but this stay was not as comfortable as usual.

The guys at the front desk were phenomenal! Rooms are nice and clean, but the A/C systems are inadequate, at best. The first room’s system wouldn’t turn on at all. I was switched to a new room. The heat was on. The A/C turned on, but was still uncomfortable all night. Also, water pressure in the shower for both rooms were equally horrible. I had to stand very close to the shower head to rinse. Overall, a good stay, but the HVAC and shower plumbing need some attention.

The room was just fine. We wish we would have been advised at chick-in that housekeeping needed to be requested at an additional charge. It sounded like the room directly above us had an on-going running and wrestling match going on until 11:00pm. Our attempts to call the front desk were met with a busy signal - over 30 minutes. I went downstairs and found no one. The room was spacious, and the breakfast was excellent - convenient location.
