I have stayed in MANY discounted hotels. They explained they just opened recently, but….. no ice machine. Very poor curtains, they didn’t even close, so I could block out the extremely bright lights. Our tub was so draining, that prior residents stuff was sitting in the tub. This is not a way to start a successful business, in my opinion.

Everything was good except after we showered the cold water faucet would not turn the cold water off. Had to turn the shower head to the off position bur still water kept running. Had to go to the management staff and then they gave us another room but a downgrade from a king bed to a queen bed. Not happy, but it was ok. Also the tub in the new room was cracked Asked about a refund and they offered $5 refund. So probably want be staying there again.

This hotel room is filthy and unsafe. Our room curtains do not reach the floor. People walking by can literally watch you through the front window. Bathroom reminiscent of a filthy convenience store closet. My husband is a building inspector and noted several code violations. Honestly, Hotels.com would be wise to remove property from its offerings.

Lots of questionable characters hanging out in the parking lot. Our first room smelled bad and a large gap in the door. The power didn't work in half the room so we were moved to a different room. This room was shocking. Electrical outlet out with wires exposed, holes in the wall, rusted bathtub, paint on the floor, cigarette burns everywhere. The most shocking was the swastikas drawn on the wall and the profanity and racial slurs written on the wall. I immediately called the desk and told the lady she needed to come to the room. She was surprised as well. I just told her at this point I insist on a refund. She obliged and we stayed elsewhere.

This property needs a lot of work before it would be ready for someone to stay here. The rooms are outdated and the tub had multiple patches. The faucet in the tub would not cut off and so the hot water ran all night. The staff member did not have the experience to fix it and didn’t offer to call anyone. We had to switch rooms because the TV didn’t work. The room didn’t look as clean as it should and the housekeeper didn’t even make the bed or empty the trash. There isn’t a coffee pot in the room and no hairdryer. We asked about a hairdryer and they don’t off one. I would not recommend staying here until some major updates are made.

I stayed at the Riverside Inn booked on Expedia for one weekend night, it was a convenience stay to break up a roadtrip and I was hoping to find a value property. For the price point, it was about what I anticipated before booking online, if it were more expensive I would have complaints. That said, I would consider staying here again in the future for a single night but probably not longer. Setup: typical two story 'motel' style layout with room doors opening to an exterior walkway. It had renovations done inside the room (hard floors/not carpet, painted, repurposed items, etc), the bathroom did seem to be somewhat of a DIY renovation (shower, faucet, older plumbing & tilework repairs), but everything was operational. Pros: very nicely done courtyard with blooming flowers, free and ample parking, pleasant front desk staff, air conditioner worked well, bed & bath linens were clean, no smells (like of prior smoking, etc), quiet room/property. Cons: No room lighting other than a single bedside lamp, and I was not comfortable with the curtains open since it was a common walkway for the other rooms; no hairdryer, no coffee in the room (was available in the lobby, I tried it and it was hour(s) old at 10am, do not recommend); & no room safe. It served the purpose I was looking for as a solo traveler on a roadtrip on a budget.
