Beautiful setting with rocky cliffs, streams and waterfalls. Several walking trails just off the property and UTV rental across the road. We rented one and had a great day exploring the area. We had a regular room. It was very clean with comfortable beds and plenty of towels. We spent some time relaxing on the hammocks in the yard next to the creek. We ate a few times in the restaurant and the food was very good. The staff went above and beyond. Wish we could have stayed more than the 2 nights. Just a note, the nearest gas or convenience store is about half-hour away in the nearest towns.
I have stayed at this hotel several times with the last time being 2 years ago. I always give it 5 stars but there were a few changes that took away a star. I am wondering if they changed management companies. The scenery is amazing and the lobby is pretty but some of the other parts of the property seemed rundown. The hammocks were in disrepair and the cover on one of the hot tubs was broken. My other complaint is the coffee doesn't start until 7am. I thought that was late. I went down our first morning there and it was already gone because of the contiual flow of tour buses of senior citizens going through. I've never seen that before. The 2nd day I went down to the lobby and had coffee and it tasted burned. Usually it had been very good. The last change I noted was instead of lotion and shower gel in individual bottles on the counter, they had installed dispensers in the shower. We had no shower gel and when it was refilled, it was very watery and worthless. I hope they change brands. Despite all these little things, I still love it. The staff is great and the scenery is amazing. This trip we rented the UTV's and that was the highlight of our trip. I highly recommend that
Awesome location, friendly and competent staff. My room was showing its age, chipped bathtub and outside entry door handle partly broken. Needs a little refresh, but doesn’t detract much from the exceptional location and super staff. I’ve stayed here for visits three of the past four years and will continue to do so. The Latchstring Inn across the street is a very good restaurant option with regional specialties (bison, trout).
Location is beautiful and peaceful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bartender was friendly and offered great eating options for our next stay. She was WONDERFUL!!
This place is fantastic, such a beautiful location, and the friendliest staff. We stayed in the Berry Patch Cabin and loved it. The cabin was spotless! The only downfall is that the beds are incredibly uncomfortable. For the price you pay for the cabin, I would recommend updating the beds. I also waited 30 minutes to order my drinks from the bar. The bartender did seem very new. There were only 4 of us, and it took 30 minutes to order two drinks.
