The hotel room was small and the bathroom was really small. It was very clean. The mattress was comfortable enough but the bed frame squeaked every time you moved. Staff was friendly. There also was no coffee maker in the room. We had a bad sand storm when we were there and the ice machine was on the other side of the property. The room was adequate and would serve its purpose if you were in the park multiple days, but I don’t think I would stay here again.

Honestly what stood out was how the staff handled the flooding and then the electricity outage. They managed things well with the generator and had positive, helpful attitudes. They gave great service at the restaurant and great directions and suggestions at the front desk. Everything was handled really smoothly.

This is a good place to spend a nite or two. It's not fancy. The food in the restaurant and the Saloon was very good. Our room was clean. The bed and pillows comfy. It was quiet. The General Store has a nice selection of hats and tshirts. We drove down to the Sand Dunes to view the night sky. The sky is better after 11pm. But we saw great stars around 8pm in January. The staff at the hotel, restaurant, saloon, store were very nice and eager to please.

There are no coffee makers in the rooms. Free coffee can only be obtained prior to 7:00 am, otherwise you have to go to the general store and buy coffee. No microwave either. Otherwise, ok.

This place is fine in an area with limited options. Like most travelers who will stay here, I just needed a place to sleep at night and did not care much about hotel amenities. The front desk is manned 24/7, which is nice in an area that doesn't have much else around it. A real negative for me was that I was up to make it to sunrise spots and there was no complimentary coffee in the lobby for guests (machine was broken). It was only available for a charge at the attached restaurant starting at 7 am. Again, because the area is remote, I'd have appreciated the option for coffee starting earlier. Staff was fine, room worked for my purposes but is nothing fancy.

The restaurant was nice, good service and nice selection. The rooms are very minimal and the bedding is not very nice. I don’t like the plastic bed liner and the fact that none of the sheets were tucked in or and they were all paper thin.

This is an amazing gem inside the Death Valley National Park with on site shopping, dining, and gas. Our room is facing the sand dunes and the views are just so stunning. We were so so pleased to be able to catch wolf moon on the night of our stay. It was a nice pleasant surprise to find this renovated room equipped with comfortable bed and state of the art amenities, we just couldn’t be happier.

Rooms have been upgraded since my last visit in 2021. New heat pumps provide quiet heat/cool. All the employees we met were friendly, pleasant, and happy to provide information about Death Valley. The onsite restaurant is okay, but could stand improvement. Check-in/out was quick snd simple. Coffee was an issue. No coffeemakers in rooms. The machine in the registration lobby was broken, as was the coffee machine in the general store. That meant hitting the restaurant for takeout coffee every morning.
