Hillside Haven Historic Vacation Home in Deersville by Tappan & Clendening Lakes
Step back in time when you stay at this charming, historic home in the small village of Deersville. Itâs located along the Moravian Trail as well as the Buckeye Trail, and is just minutes from Clendening Lake and Tappan Lake Park. Built in 1885, the home will remind you of simpler times. Enjoy life at a slower pace while taking advantage of the hot tub, sitting around the firepit in the large backyard and playing cards in the gamroom. Be sure to visit Deersville General Store for homemade ice cream!
This beautiful, well maintained Victorian home immediately embraces you with its peacefulness and serenity. My daughter, four teenage grandchildren ages 14 to 18 and myself with my two small dogs had comfort and convenience in every regard. I recommend Hillside Haven Historic Home.
So close to the lake and plenty of room for our family, air conditioning was excellent in this holiday weekend and all the supplies you could think of!
Had my bachelorette party there. We wanted to have a nice place to have a tea party. The host was absolutely amazing! Very prompt in communication. The property was so cute. We went axe throwing and shopping in the general store, both owned by the hosts. Perfect trip!
Lovely historical house, with all the amenities. Cute general store with beer and delicious breakfast sandwiches. We absolutely love staying here! We are conflicted, we want to keep it our secret little hide away so it stays open for us, but the hosts and house are so amazing we had to leave a good review! 10/10!
Check in and communications with the host was amazing. We contacted the hosts a few times with questions and got super prompt responses. The house was so cute and spacious, the game parlor was an added fantastic value. The television package was also amazing, I was able to watch college football on a television while away from home, instead of just on my phone. The amenities offered exceeded all of our needs! We loved these hosts and the house and hope to stay again soon! Also, the general store down the way has wonderful breakfast biscuits. The milkshakes and ice cream were delicious as well! Worth the stop in, and only 2 doors down!
This house has a lot of history and reminded me and my wife of our childhood. Very clean and organized! Appreciate the hosts for there efforts in making us welcome. We would recommend this location to anyone and would come back if the opportunity presents itself in the future. The only one negative thing we would say was that the showers did not have great water pressure. I would recommend the shower heads be replaced.
Couple of relaxing days at this wonderful house. We loved how old this house is, the fine details, and decorating, it all fit with the house! The hot tub was wonderful too!
The place was great we love the house. Only problem I seen was no TVs in the bedroom and could have better internet service. Other than that it was a great place. I think people would definitely pay a little more per night if you could get TVs in the rooms and a little better internet đ
We had an amazing time with friends for my birthday weekend. Its close to the general store where my favorite ice cream is and we visited the lake for the day. The home was clean, comfy and loved the vintage decor! We have stayed in this home one other time a few years ago with family and enjoyed our second stay!
It was nice and quiet just as we wanted away from the city to clear are busy schedules. House was beautiful, scenery was beautiful and the general store had the best ice cream.
