A mixed bag: positives: house was clean and the key lock and parking was convenient, and food and drink supplies very welcome. Negatives: our booking was changed fairly last minute from “the terrace” to a different house “the Mews” for unknown reasons. (So my review is not for this listing, but for “The Mews”.) Although the house was on the same estate and also had 3 double bedrooms, one of the bedrooms was pretty small, and the original property had the master bedroom on its own top floor , which would have been preferable for us due to our particular family arrangements. Unfortunately the boiler was faulty so there was no hot water for showers in the morning. Although the agent responded promptly to my message and came round to try to address it and offered to extend our stay so it could be fixed and we have hot showers, we were time bound to catch trains so unfortunately it wasn’t a viable option for us.
