Room was very nice. No hair dryer. Pool was closed. Had to interrupt staff on their cell phones when I had a question or needed something. Not a secure hotel. Too many open doors.

Parking lot wasn’t full at all, but seems like they wanted everyone in the same area. Neighboring room was loud all night. Room was decent. Didn’t like they put me in a handicap room. Hallway was disgusting. Had a bad smell.

Unfortunately had a couple next to me that were high on something and continued to yell and scream at each another for 3 days straight, hallways carpet stained and smells of someone smoking pot. Also put down 100 deposit and left the room spotless with same amount of towels and sheets and pillow. I wased all linin and towels my first day there and day I left. Still have not recovered my deposit of $100 back and still no explaintion why. Has big nice inside pool which of course if was closed , hotel in good location if Ownerr would clean up the place , kick out the trouble makers and hold your rental customers to standard of keeping the peace and quiet and no drugs allowed, could be decent place. In mean time Do Not stay here

There was a pool with pictures advertised but the pool was closed and appeared to have been for a very long time. There are NO ammenities for the shower. There is NO blowdryer in the rooms or that you can borrow from the front desk. When turning the shower on, the whole thing felt like you had to be careful with it. But the shower was hot! The beds were ok, a tad hard for my liking, I woke a few times and my hips hurt from that. There were 2 pillows per bed (2 queen) and they were certainly lumpy, but I was able to manipulate one enough to get a good placement of my head. Looking out my window, I saw some window screens laying in places in the "courtyard". The front desk check in was easy and she was very pleasant, same for the checkout. Very very friendly.

This hotel was a big disappointment and I wouldn’t recommend booking a room here. The hallways were dirty and looked as if they hadn’t been vacuumed. There were stains on the carpet and the pool was closed, which was annoying considering that’s why I picked a hotel with a pool. On the website it states there was a coffee pot in the rooms which wasn’t the case, there also wasn’t a blow dryer for convenience. The beds were uncomfortable and I didn’t like the back door entrance didn’t require a key card to get into the building. Literally anyone could get in the hotel. Trying to save money and staying at a cheaper rate isn’t always the best idea. Next time I visit Des Moines I plan on staying somewhere cleaner/safer.

Better than expected

The room was spacious, clean and neat. The furniture was new but the chairs weren't very comfy. We liked the kitchenette with the large refrigerator. The inside of the hotel was good but the outside was trashy, I saw lots off cigarette butts, beer cans and paper trash around the building. The outside door had key readers but were opened without the keycard. The room was much nicer than most econo hotels and the price was right. If you are just passing through, it's ok.
