"The Hay Loft" - Hot Tub - Game Room - Fire Pit - Office - Family FUN

Centrally located to Downtown Des Moines, sits our fully remodeled, 5 bedroom, 2 bath home that can sleep 14 guests.

The Hay Loft offers privacy for your large group, yet it's also close to everything that Des Moines has to offer!

Our amenities include: spacious hot tub, fire-pit, grill, office space and a fully stocked kitchen. Fiber internet/WiFi + smart TVs in every room. Just a couple of blocks from Drake College, and within three miles of the Iowa Event Center and Wells Fargo Arena.

Our home is equipped with three (3) exterior cameras. This is for security only, we DO NOT monitor gathering spaces. #1: Located at the front deck, facing the door/street. #2: On the N side of the home, facing the street. #3: On the back of the home, facing the driveway.

For your stay, we provide a starter kit for essentials and toiletries:
- Shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in each shower
- First couple days supply of coffee/k cups
- First few loads of dishwasher and clothes washer detergent pods

PLEASE NOTE:
After requesting your reservation, you will receive a notification to complete our Rental Agreement, confirming the terms and conditions of your stay at The Hay Loft - which you will be able to execute digitally.

Kitchen: Cooking utensils, salt/pepper/cooking spray, baking dishes, pots and pans, crock pot, toaster, blender, Keurig and a coffee maker (with coffee packs, teabags, creamer and sweetener to get you started).

Dining: Custom table with seating for 12 people (plus additional chairs if needed). Highchair available in the bedroom closet.

Living Room/Game Room: There is a large sectional, queen sleeper sofa, and a futon. The room has two, 65in smart Roku TVs and a Nintendo Wii

Bedrooms: There are five (5) bedrooms total. Three (3) are upstairs and two (2) downstairs. Two of the rooms have king beds, the others have queens. Every bedroom has a Roku smart TV.

Bathrooms: There are two (2) full bathrooms. Each bathroom has a tub/shower. One bathroom is upstairs and one downstairs.

Backyard: Large, privacy fenced yard. There is a grill, hot tub, fire pit, carpet ball game, outdoor table, and spacious driveway.

Laundry: Washer and dryer are included in your stay. The laundry room is located in the basement.

We had an amazing stay! House is so clean and the hosts are what made it so great so communicative and even checked in to see if we needed anything. Such a great experience. The house was cute and had fun game room we enjoyed! The hot tub was awesome! We will be back! It was a great relaxing girls trip! They made check in and out so easy too. They gave great advice on local restaurants too!

All the beds were very comfortable and linens were very clean. Nice assortment of games for evening family fun. We were busy, so never were able to use the hot tub or firepit, but they did look inviting! The rooms are spacious. You need to pull into the alley to access the parking, but plenty of parking available for 4-5 cars.

Family, Adventureland vacation

We had a wonderful stay at this location for a family vacation at Adventureland in Altoona. It was spacious enough for 8 adults and three grandchildren. We especially enjoyed the arcade, and Wii and all of the board games. The outdoor space was wonderful as well. The kids played “carpet ball” for hours, and we enjoyed the outdoor fire pit with the chairs around it. Great memories were made! Thank you Matt and Mariah.

We enjoyed our stay! Number of bedrooms and all beds Q/K make this a great house for privacy and sleeping. Plenty of dishes, huge dining table with plenty of seating. Everything feels new. Hot tub was clean and enjoyable. Can’t think of a single thing to be improved.

Perfect place for our trip back to Drake University

As an alum of Drake University I planned a trip back for the Drake Relays with some friends. The place was perfect. Great location near campus. Lots of parking, plenty of room in the house and nice outdoor spaces. We had a great time and my guests complimented the place. Very clean, lots of amenities. Terrific !

Sisters trip

Very enjoyable stay for five 60-72 year old sisters. Extremely clean and a bedroom for each of us! Clean and plenty of linens in each bathroom. We enjoyed the fire ring and hot tub and taught the sisters carpet pool which was fun to see as I have enjoyed it in campgrounds we’ve stayed in. Nice to be able to cook breakfast as all necessary kitchen items were available in the cabinets. Good central location to all venues we were interested in visiting. Would recommend to others highly.
