This first-floor unit is located in the desirable community of Chateau La Mer, merely steps away from the main attraction and reason that millions of visitors continue to return, year after year–the sugar white sands and clear blue-green waters of Destin's spectacular beach. Check-in to this comfortable, spacious condo, drop off your luggage and stroll across the street to dip your toe in the surf and meander along the sand. Grab a seat on the beachfront patio of Captain Dave's on the Gulf and enjoy some of the best views in Destin, while sipping a cold beverage and nibbling on oysters, shrimp or crab. Sleep soundly in the comfortable king bed in the master bedroom or a queen bed in the second bedroom. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the open-concept living area that will accommodate additional guests or children. And the unit features for your relaxing pleasure. Very convenient to gorgeous Gulf of Mexico beach; a big plus is that beach service (chairs, umbrella) is included. We also loved that we could bring our dog to this unit.

Great location

Great location and convenient to the beach only a short walk, and the private beach is an absolute plus. Condo was well stocked to cook meals and A/C worked great, great shower in master bathroom as well. Only complaint would be better chairs on back porch the wicker chair needs to be trashed has a hole in the seating part. But overall loved your place and was very cozy, would definitely stay again!!!!!

Had a wonderful stay at the condo. It was easy walk to beach and nice clean area. My only issue we had was the people who rented upstairs sounded like a buffalo herd above us all hours of the night. But would definitely stay again.

Very nice place

The condo was lovely and very clean. It had everything I needed and the green areas to walk the pup were plentiful. The furniture and towels seemed brand new. The rental management folks very prompt and helpful to answer questions. Would recommend. Also the Alexa enable device was a nice extra.

Relaxing

Overall this was a great trip! We were away from major hotels and how our own private beach entrance. I felt very safe walking my dog along the coast. Excellent shops nearby. The area was very quiet and I will more than likely be back again.

Short Walk

Short Walk to the gated beach across Scenic 98. Our unit was pet friendly. No pets on the beach though. Had everything we needed. Shopping a short drive.

The property is in a good place super close to the beach, only problem was condo was not so clean. The floors where dirty my wife had to mop the day we arrived due to floor making bottom of feet black and dirty wash clothes hanging in both bathrooms and a broken handle on night stand. Other than those minor things it was great.

Suited our needs

The unit was fine. It certainly could've used updating, but the location was a short walk to the beach and a few restaurants and it was clean. Information was thorough from the manager and we didn't have any issues during our short stay. The fence in the backyard was not completely enclosed, so it was nice to have an area for our dog, but not an area to leave them unattended. All in it suited our needs, but after all the additional VRBO fees, it was priced higher than it should've been.

Great location to get away from busy beaches.

Location was great for us, the beach was away from the busy congested beaches. We felt more secluded and private here. Condo was spacious enough for the 6 of us. But there was misunderstanding on the number of beds from listing. We read it as 1 king, 2 queens and a sofa sleeper. Which was incorrect there was only 1 queen. That was disappointing but we made do since they couldn't move us. Had a good weekend. Will come back to area.

Relax near the beach

This is a wonderful little unit in walking distance to the beach. It was very nice and spacious on the inside and beautifully decorated. The property managers are extremely nice and very helpful with genuine kindness. I loved how the back patio opened up to a nice lawn space for our dog. This location is close to anything you could possibly want or need! I would book this place again :)

Destin, a great get-a-way!

Renting process excellent. Location good, although it was a little farther to the beach than we thought it would be. Setup of condo was nice. Cleanliness was not good at all. Our shoes stuck to the floor when we got there. We went out and bought bleach so we could clean the floors, bathrooms and everything in the kitchen. Had to wash all dishes before use because they were not clean. The knives in the drawer had jelly on them. Once cleaned it was a very enjoyable place. We all had a good vacation.
