Blast from the past

Furniture and towels were from the 70's, felt like I was at my grandparent's house 40 yrs ago. Easy beach access, but condo def needs updated!

Door lock Problem

We had problems with the keyless door each time we tried it the door lock would lock shut and had to wait to make a long story short I called the maintenance person at 7:00 and it was 10:00 When he got there at night my family went to get in the car while I waited on someone to unlock the room and when we got inside it would not stay locked we didn’t enjoy our time being there because we were worried about getting inside

Owner canceled late minute

I was called about 18 hours before check in and told they had to cancel because of maintenance equipment and I couldn’t get in however upon arriving in Destin we went by the condo and it was perfectly fine

Pick a different place.

Air conditioning did not work, they did have a portable unit in the living room. Carpets very unclean and stained. Could be a very nice unit. But in need of updates.

Right on the Beach!

My friends and I had a great stay at this property. There is a lot of construction on the building itself - but it did not bother us at all. We knew there was construction beforehand - so we were prepared for that. The condo is spacious, the contents very dated, but we also knew that going in. It was a great condo for the price and location. Nothing fancy - but we did not care. It was clean and that's all we cared about. There were eight of us -and we all had a bed to sleep in. If you want a fancy condo - this may not be for you - but we loved the location and the value! There are a few restaurants & shops within walking distance too!

Many issues!

There were several big things that went wrong. First, the unit wasn't ready on time. He did finally let us in at 5:30, but the towels were still in the dryer from cleaning (we hope- read the rest!), so it wasn't completely ready. The air conditioner didn't cool. We recognized this within a couple of hours and he assured us the company had been contacted. 24 hours later, when we questioned him again he admitted it would be July before they came to look. Inside stayed between 75 and 80 degrees the whole time we were there. It was uncomfortable. There was major construction being done to the building while we were there. There were workers in scaffolding right outside the windows several times and the noise was very loud during the day. If you're wanting to rest during the day- you won't be able to here. We were not informed about the construction. The washing machine was broken and again we weren't informed. He tried to have a new washing machine delivered while we were there. We had to insist several times that we were NOT willing to let in a delivery person while we weren't present before he would cancel the already scheduled, without our knowledge, delivery for our second night. This unit is VERY over priced for the number of issues that it had. The owner's responses were, at best dismissive, when we brought these issues to his attention.

Good family condo

Checking in was a shock. The gate guard asked if we were aware of the heavy construction going on. No one told us and that was a huge shock. I recommend being upfront on the listings about the construction. The day we arrived was quite loud and really put a damper on things. However, Saturday and Sunday were quiet and the beach was easy to get to and from and everyone was nice. The condo furnishings and rugs are dated and well used but then again, traveling with children, didn’t need to worry about damage. The condo is close to everything you could want. Plenty of dishes ect. Bring your own trash bags! We didn’t know and had to go buy some. You get 1. Leonard was very nice and took care of any issues that came up. Other than the construction we had a great trip.

Construction Zone!!!!

Not good… everyday construction!!! Drilling, banging, noisy! We Even had to NOT be able to use AC due to the construction the last 2 days! This VRBO unit was highly overpriced for the stay period due to the construction work! Also, a crack pipe was found on the LR TV / Entertainment piece!!! So apparently no cleaning crew fulfilled their job… along with human hair stuck to cooking ware in the kitchen and blood stains on the guest bathroom floor. This tells me that there is no real oversight to the property by its owner. I know we will never do a VRBO again due this one and only experience for a family funeral purpose or even a VACATION. The experience was not good in comparison to the high level hotels that are in the area.

Excellent location

The condo was very clean and very spacious. The location was excellent, almost everywhere we wanted to go or to eat, was within a 2 mile radius. The beach was right outside, a very easy walk. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely firm but some people like that. The only improvements I see needing to be made would be some additional pillows and some hand soap. While I understand not having toiletries like a hotel, there wasn't even soap in the bathrooms to wash your hands. Overall this is a great condo and I would recommend it.

We had expected the furnishings to need updates but being a little old fashioned ourselves, didn't mind. However these furnishings looked like thrift store buys, and were in very bad condition. Some lights didn't work and some we couldn't plug in because furniture was in the way. The bed linens were very cheap and mismatched. Our first night there we couldn't work the a/c so called the owner and he was helpful and managed to get the a/c going. There had been a light over the shower but that had been taken out, the bathtub was in dire need of re-caulking. The shades on the windows were bad in that they didn't work , very cheap and because of where the condo was didn't need a night light as the outside lights were so bright. Our fault but we expected a balcony and there was none and windows could not be opened. views of the gulf very limited. Kitchen appliances including stove top dirty. VRBO needs to check the properties they rent.

Nice Destin Beach location

It was a comfortable condo., although the decor is dated. The location is great; a 2-minute walk to the beach; however, this unit does not have a true ocean view or balcony. Leonard was helpful with checking and checkout. I would recommend this unit for families looking to enjoy the beach.

Very nice

Process to rent property was very easy. Property manager responded promptly to all my emails. Place was very clean but could use some updating. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if in Destin, Florida.

Great place to stay!

My family and I enjoyed this property. It was very clean and large for my family. Very spacious to say the least. The pictures shown are definitely what you get. The only thing I would have wanted is that there were more trashbags available due to is cooking every day. Other than that, we loved it!
