This home has it all - location, upscale furnishings, loaded with flat screens, killer pool, room for everyone, incredible grill. It truly is fit for a king!

House of Kings is a 3-level vacation home boasting gorgeous decor, including new top-of-the-line mattresses. All five bedrooms have flat screens - the master has a 60', the other king bedrooms have 40', and the kid's bunk room has a 32'.  There are flat screens in the living room and the game room with a private balcony, Foosball table, wet bar and music tower for iPods or iPads.  

This home has a pre-wired sound system and can be regulated for each floor separately. Enjoy the surround music center in the living room and either Blu-ray or DVD in every room that has a TV.  No chance of anyone being bored here!

The master bedroom is located on the second floor and has a private bath, XL garden tub, private balcony, and a wet bar.  There are 3 more bedrooms with king-sized beds (one located on the first floor), and the fifth bedroom has a bunk bed with a full mattress and twin sized bed.

The kitchen is amazing - fully furnished, with granite countertops, stainless appliances, and high-end auto-closing cabinets.  There's a 4 burner high-end gas grill on the private patio.

House of Kings also has a full-sized laundry room with a washer and dryer, two parking spots in the driveway, as well as an overflow parking lot.

Snowbird Season runs November thru February. For a quote, select an arrival date (must be the 1st day of the month) and a departure date (must be the 1st day of a subsequent month). Villages of Crystal Beach is an exclusive, gated community only a few blocks from the beautiful blue waters and white sandy beaches of Destin. You can make the walk on foot or hop on the free seasonal trolley service (Memorial Day through Labor Day): they will even pick you up at the house and drop you off right at the beach! The pool area at Villages of Crystal Beach is a vacation must! The lagoon style zero entry pool is 30,000 square feet of gorgeous, sparkling clear water. There is a spa, tropical landscaping, and plenty of seating areas. It also has surround sound, a flat screen TV, and a grilling area to help you relax and unwind.

Please note that there are parking restrictions within the Villages of Crystal Beach. There are three parking spaces available in the driveway of the home. Trailers, RV's, boats, golf carts, and motorcycles are not allowed within the community gates; alternate parking arrangements will need to be made for these items. 

Area Attractions: 

There are wonderful shops and restaurants close by and great attractions such as golf courses, Big Kahuna's Water and Adventure Park, boating, fishing, and water-sports!

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest!  Destin Commons also has a mini-train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop.

If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017.  Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Summer Vacation in Destin

The house is very accommodating and spacious with king beds in each room. The bunk room was perfect for a single person or children. The furniture is updated and comfortable. Property management responds quickly and acknowledges any issues which were minor. Parking is tricky since the driveways are small, but we managed to park three trucks side-by-side in the drive. The beach is a bit far to walk. I would recommend parking at the Crab Trap and renting beach setups to minimize what you need to carry. The complex is close to shopping and entertainment and is easy to navigate to the main road. Overall is it was a great stay!

July 4th celebration

The house is very spacious and in a good location. We were able to walk to the beach. It is listed for 16 guests, however there are only 4 king size beds and a bunk bed . We were 3 families with a couple of kids each and would have to share the jig bed with the children. The bunk bed was very unsteady and only the bottom bunk was used. An air mattress was supplied and was very useful asl 13 of us would not have been comfortable. The shower was faulty in one of the rooms. The manager was very prompt to send someone to fix it. We are family that likes to cook and felt the kitchen was not very well equipped and the grill did not work. I would recommend this property but not for 16 ppl and may need to bring your own supplies if you plan on cooking.

Okay, but needs updates.

Took a couple days to get the faucet handle for our shower fixed to where we could get hot water and it wouldn’t constantly leak. Firm beds, worn out/damaged furniture, older/damaged kitchen equipment, no ceiling fans in the rooms. Neat house, but needs a furniture refresh. Good location and roomy. Pool area was nice and only a couple of blocks to the beach.

Nice home in quiet neighborhood

Our family stayed here for five nights. The home is nice, nothing fancy but nice. The bedding is light and the beds are ok. I would definitely recommend bringing additional blankets as there weren’t any extra blankets to be found. The pool is in close proximity and the beach was a short drive. We had a great vacation and the home was pleasant.

We all loves the house! Bedrooms are nice and so was the kitchen and pool room is a plus. On the other hand the washer has a bad smell and has mold buildup. My husband had to double clean the grill because it seemed as if it was never cleaned. The refrigerator was not getting cold. The temps were not set right. It took the day of check in to Tuesday to get cold.

This is our 2nd time staying in this neighborhood. It is in a great location both close to the beach and shopping. The communication between the property manager was excellent. The house itself needs maintenance and upgrades. There is wear & tear that is visible. However, it was sufficient for a short stay. Unfortunately, the people who were there before us left the house in a pretty big mess so we were delayed a bit for check in. The cleaner was pretty awesome and allowed us to drop our food off while he finished cleaning. He did a great job cleaning but I think us seeing the things that were left behind by the previous renters was a little off putting. That was no fault of the owners or cleaners. All in all, once we got settled, the property served its purpose for our weekend.

Location is great about 7 minute walk to beach, we had a large group and there was plenty of space to not bump into everyone. Only issue I found was parking 3 slots for a house holding that many people and finding a spot in overflow parking was usually impossible!

We truly enjoyed our time together and the “House of Kings” was the perfect size for all of us.

Overall, the house was nice. However, cleanliness was average, furniture worn and scratched, tile floors on main level were very dirty, especially along the baseboards. The kitchen was not well equipped with cookware; one skillet that was small, lots of plastic containers that seemed to have been left behind by guests, and lower cabinets very dirty where pots and pans were stored. In addition, the pool table and pool cues were in bad shape- no felt ends, no chalk, pockets ripped. It’s sad because we know none of this is the owner/rental company’s fault, but merely bad tenants and comes with the territory. As for the home, overall you can tell it’s a beautiful home that has unfortunately, been not well respected by some remnants. It would help to give the wood trim and doors a fresh coat of paint after a very deep cleaning of the entire home. Whoever RealJoy hits to do checkout cleanings is not doing a good job. It would also help to have instructions on how to use the TV’s. The main level had 3 remotes and it was all very confusing. The last thing I’d like to say is how dirty the landscape and outside neighborhood was in the entire subdivision, streets, sidewalks, leaves and debris, in some cases, garbage, everywhere. Also brought the ascetics of the overall subdivision, down considerably. All of this is with the best intentions that it’s taken constructively for the next renters to know. We spent every day at the beach down by The Crab Trap and went to Miramar beach close to pompano Joe’s. The beaches and the gorgeous water in Destin are truly stunning!! Wonderful location and the house was awesome as well. Previous visitors complained about a foul odor, however I found the issue!!! Old seashells in a small container of beach like salt water, were sitting on one of shelves by the stairway, the water was obviously spoiled! Only complaint is the ceiling fan on the third floor's balcony is very loose. When we turned on the switch, it started shaking very bad. Very nice neighborhood and close to grocery store and shopping plaza. It is approximately a 3 mile ride to harbor walk and about 3 miles opposite direction to the outlet mall.

Family and friends trip to FL

If your looking for the most uncomfortable mattresses that remind you of sleeping on a hardwood floor or a musty wet odor coming from the 2nd floor bedrooms, a fridge that smells of horrid fish and has seeped into the kitchen cabinets next to it and also sticky stuff on the main floor bedroom closet carpet then this is the place for you! To top it off this house has a massive infestation of termites we had to deal with in the dining room as they ate their way thru the window trim and baseboards. They were flying on our food, while the 1 year old was crawling thru them. We found some on the second floor as well. The home appeared cleaned but the floors were very dirty. There are stains on my 1 year olds pants that have not come out since washing numerous times because the floor was so dirty. We enjoyed the vacation overall as long as it didn’t involve spending time at the house. The area and pool are nice. The temp of the pool is great for this colder time of year and the kids had a good time. The beach walk was maybe 5-10 minutes when taking kids and beach items. It stinks the house can sleep 16, but we had 3 cars and parking that many vehicles was a struggle as the driveway only accommodated 2, and the overflow wasn’t always available. The second air mattress also lacked extra blankets and pillows to make it usable. So plan ahead if planning to utilize that!

Enjoyed property just needed some things repaired like stated in the previous reviews and playing pool on the 3rd level of the home which had a pool table had to step out on balcony to get a extra chair while opening door maintenance had a problem which didn’t understand because we were in the house otherwise I would prefer a single family home not in a resort type setting but otherwise had a nice time on a 3 hour Sunquest dinner cruise which was lovely

Pros: incredible pool, spacious, private rooms. Cons: broken kitchen faucet, insufficient AC (everyone was sweating, esp. on the first floor), mold on AC vent (3rd floor bathroom)
