I’ve been going here for eight years

I have been staying here once a year at least for the past eight years to say things have changed is an understatement. It feels like there’s been nothing but cutbacks they’ve taken away almost everything, including the swings and the outdoor showerhead. It is so corporate and disgusting. now it’s sad. Everything in my room was absolutely filthy, the woman who worked there were excellent and tried very hard to do their best with what they were given. It’s sad that there’s not even a tissue in the bathrooms anymore. It’s come a far far away from when it was privately owned from my family I get that but this corporate BS and the management running things the way that they see fit which is horrible for the building itself is tragic. I’m not sure I’ll ever stay there again. The view was beautiful the overwhelming amount of dogs pooping everywhere and staying at the facility is disgusting. The only grass area down by the bay is filled with dogs, poop and pee everywhere and again they took down the swings around the cabana which you can see from the pictures. It was disappointing to say the least.

Room was decent comfy beds,house keeping could have been much better. Stood for two day never saw a housekeeper, only on the day I was leaving. They were their an hour before checkout, so they can clean room for next person.

This place is wonderful. You can walk to all the restaurants, live music, or sweet treats. The access to the bay is top notch. Paddle board right out from your room! The whole room is clean, view is wonderful (bay side) the pool is refreshing yet warm and clean. Be prepared for some beautiful sunsets! Two things: no elevator so if stairs are a concern request ground floor and bring bug spray for at night the little guys will nip you up.

To say that our night at Bay Resort was unsatisfactory is an understatement. For starters, they charged us another $16.41 on top of Expedia’s posted price. It had been our understanding that Expedia’s bottom line is guaranteed, but Bay Resort’s check-in person insisted that their surcharge be paid before they would honor our reservation. After lugging our stuff up the shabby cement stairs, past old coin-operated washers and dryers situated out in the corridor, we opened the door to our third floor room and were shocked to see trash on the floor, as well as shards of broken glass on the beds. After taking that in we were not surprised that the room had not been cleaned at all, with dirty, wet towels piled on the bathroom sink. Rather than contend with the desk clerk for a refund after a long day we accepted a substitute room, where our only significant surprise was a bathroom fan that sounds like a garbage disposal. Unless all of this sounds good to you, we recommend looking elsewhere for lodging in the area.

Mostly, I was not impressed with the lack of parking. Our first night, we left to go for dinner and came back to one small space left in a corner that I had to squeeze my car into and pray that nobody hit it. The cleaning staff never came to our room. They were out of towels one night, and the other night I had to go to the office to retrieve them. The hotel room was clean enough, but the tub was cracked and the toiled barely flushed. We left a day early. I do realize the cost was better than other places, and I have stayed in MUCH MUCH worse conditions along the eastern shore, so it wasn't the worst, but I am not sure I'd book it again.

While the trip started out a little rocky, it ended up being a great stay. We arrived at town around three so I called the hotel and requested an early check-in and they said that’s fine is 330 OK and I said sure so I drove to the hotel and got there at 3:20 and the gentleman at the front desk Said that it was his first day and he had no idea what to do. I said OK no need to stress. Let’s just wait for the manager to come around and he said alright. The manager came she was pleasant and friendly. She apologized for the inconvenience. She said we would be in room 320 and then it would be ready in 15 minutes. She said she apologized for the inconvenience and then said we could wait by the room and they would let us know when it’s ready. It was just me and my daughter and I am a single mom. I then proceeded to unload my entire vehicle full of vacation things up three flights of stairs with no elevator in 101° weather in the middle of the afternoon. After doing that and waiting with a toddler for about 15 minutes in said 101° weather, the room service woman let me know the room still was not ready and that she could give me a different room at that point since I had already moved all of my things up the stairs and have grown accustomed to the idea of having an end room rather than a middle room with no viewI said I’d rather just wait for my original room. I already have the keys and I want the access to the sliding glass door in the Bayview, which I feel like it’s very reasonable
