The charming little vacation home “Fischermartl am Ammersee” is situated in a wonderfully quiet location in Fischerei, the former fishing district of Dießen, within walking distance of the lake.
“Fischermartl” is the colloquial name for the Dießen coat of arms.
Originally used only as a “summer retreat,” this little cottage served as a creative haven and place of relaxation for the Augsburg painter Otto Baer and his wife.
It has been lovingly renovated by your future hosts and transformed into a small, idyllic vacation home.
On the first floor, you’ll find the cozy living room with an old wood-burning stove, an antique farmhouse cabinet, and a sleeper sofa, as well as a small kitchen and the guest restroom.
From here, you also have access to the south-facing wooden deck. In the summer, the cottage is idyllically surrounded by an old quince tree, grapevines, and roses, offering a shady and peaceful spot on hot summer days.
On the first floor is the bright bedroom with an exposed roof truss, the bathroom with a shower and a deep soaking tub, and a beautiful wraparound balcony facing south and east. From here, you have a lovely view of the old fishing district and one of the village’s stork nests.
You can store your bicycles in a lockable bike shed; you can park your car in a small parking space right next to the vacation home or for free on the street in front of the house.
Our vacation home is fully equipped for your stay:
Towels, bed linens, a hair dryer, an iron, a toaster, a kettle, a Nespresso machine, a charcoal grill, a music system, and free Wi-Fi are all provided for your stay.
In less than a 5-minute walk, you can reach the lake, a beach, numerous restaurants and cafés, shops for daily necessities, the Ammersee ferry dock, and the Bayerische Regio Bahn train station—which takes you in less than an hour to the main station in the state capital of Munich or to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the gateway town to the Zugspitze.
