Paradwys in Dolgellau

Paradwys has a fabulous sunken hot tub, a huge sun terrace for ‘al-fresco dining' wood-burner, and a fire pit. Sleeping up to 12 guests, 2 in the Shepherds Hut and 10 guests in the bungalow, with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Ideal for certain guests with mobility issues. There's private parking for several cars. One dog is welcome. Miles of stunning walks on the doorstep and just a short walk to the old town, with numerous eateries and independent shops.

ACCOMMODATION

Off the drive are 6 stone steps down to the property with a handrail on the side of the steps. It's level to the two front doors, one is on the far side with access to the biggest bedroom with a large en-suite, being the most suitable room for guests with mobility issues. There is one step into the property over each door. NB: This property is NOT ‘disable adapted' but has been well thought out to facilitate guests who are not very mobile or active. The main front door brings you into a spacious hallway with the family bathroom and sitting room on the right and 3 bedrooms on the left. Through the second door, you access the kitchen on the left, the utility on the right, and the master en-suite bedroom in front of you.

SITTING ROOM:
Apart from the amazing views over the terrace and the Welsh countryside, the main focal point is a contemporary wood-burner, set on a slate platform. Perfect to sit around on a chilly evening.

Open up the Bi-Fold doors and take in the amazing views over Dolgellau and the Welsh countryside. There is seating for 10 (12 with a squeeze) around a large reclaimed wood dining table with matching benches and 2 suede dining chairs. Driftwood look laminate floor. The dining room follows through to the open-plan kitchen.

This lovely designer kitchen has ‘Mexican Art' floor tiles' a real WOW factor! it is fully fitted with coordinating, soft close, graphite/white hi-gloss units, and ‘sparkle' worktops.

SHEPHERDS HUT
Brand NEW in 2024 a custom-built, wood-clad, Shepherds Hut which sleeps 2 guests in style. It is located in its own private landscaped garden next to Paradwys bungalow. It also enjoys stunning rural views. Its NOT available separately. Bedding and towels are provided and all energy use is included. WifI is available from the main house, the signal may not be quite as good as in the main house. Finished to an exceptionally high standard with real oak kitchen units, its includes an electric oven hob & extractor, fridge, fitted wardrobe, fold-down double bed, ECO wall heater, a spacious shower room with walk-in shower, vanity wash-hand basin, and WC. Outside is a small fire pit with BBQ grill. Landscaped garden with elevated views.

TERRACE & GARDEN

LOCATION * LOCATION! It's all about the views and the ambiance, your family will love this experience and treasure the memories for a lifetime. Enjoy the uninterrupted panoramic views and amazing sunsets over the Rhinog Mountains. The porcelain terrace surrounded by a glass & chrome balustrade has been designed to maximise the breath-taking vista over the Snowdonia countryside. There is a fabulous 6-man ‘sunken' hot tub, at the end of the sun terrace. A big chunky locally handmade picnic table, raised bar table and bench, plus 2 arm chairs for ‘al-fresco dining. Other rattan chairs and tables are available, plus sunloungers. Step down to the spacious enclosed grassy garden is ideal for the kids to play and to the one side is the feature fire pit, to sit around and enjoy in the evening. To the side is a covered outside kitchen type space with a sink, H & C water and a big gas BBQ.

PARKING
Accessing the property from just behind Cadair Road, there is a long sloping driveway with parking for 3 or 4 average-size cars. Extra parking is available on the road just at the bottom of Bodlondeb (just behind our hedge opposite ) We have a small storage shed for keeping boards and bikes and an enclosed garden that's fairly secure.

Pet friendly, maximum 1 dog, sorry no puppies. Pet fee is ÂŁ35. NO pets in the Shephards Hut.
Short breaks when available: Monday- Friday 4 nights & Friday-Monday 3 nights. Arrivals from 4.00 pm vacate by 10.00 am. A minimum charge of ÂŁ1200.00 applies to every booking. Where a 1-week minimum applies, our changeover day is Monday. Prices shown are in pounds sterling per week, inclusive of energy, heating, bedding & towels, and use of the hot tub (see special conditions on the booking form) Please bring your own robes & beach towels.
We reserve the right to also ask for a ÂŁ499 security deposit, which is refundable provided there are no breakages or damage to the property. We accept payment by BACS bank transfer, secure online card payment or by cheque. Young children need to be supervised in the garden, as there is a steep bank surrounding it.
The Shepherds Hut is available only as an ancillary to the main house and is not available separately.
HOT TUB
Guest have use of the hot tub located on the patio from 9.00 AM until 9.45 PM each evening (no later as it is in a residential area), on the full understanding that they use it in accordance with the instruction provided at the property and that Lounge Holidays and or the owner do not accept any responsibility for death, personal injury or failure of the equipment in connection with the use of this hot-tub. If you use the hot tub and its equipment incorrectly or do not follow the instruction provided at the property, we will hold you fully responsible for any loss or damage caused to it and any associated equipment provided. It is your responsibility to use the tub safely and look after the associated equipment provided. We draw particular attention to the instruction that all guest shower and remove makeup, deodorants, and suntan lotion before using the hot tub. Guests with fake tan applied are not permitted to use the hot tub. The water is changed & treated regularly in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, but if we need to do an unscheduled change of the water as a result of incorrect use, we will charge you ÂŁ50.
