First off I thought hotel owners would check boat times mine came in 90 mins late then baggage took 49 mins then 30 mins waiting for a taxi I got to the b&b at 1.20am the owner complained as I had to knock her up why didnât they just email me the door code before hand and maybe leave a key in an envelope at reception like lots of other b&bs normally do. There was no kettle in the room which is not ideal when you canât make a hot drink when you want the room was cold they switched heaters off. I left two days early as I felt unwanted there
Room was basic but that's what I'd paid for;
view of the sea was fantastic. Breakfast was very good and cooked freshly although time window for breakfast was very narrow being between 8.30 and 9.00 although there did seem to be a little flexibility. The person serving was very friendly and accommodating.
Bus stops close by so easy to get around although could walk to amenities.
A nicely decorated room, with beautiful view out to sea. Breakfast freshly cooked to order. Staff friendly. Lack of a lift would deter those who struggle with stairs. The rooms are lovely but the corridors are narrow and the stairs steep, I was 56 stair-steps from the road. They can't solve those problems caused by the architectural features of the building but it would be beneficial to restore lift service
The hotel is ok but showing its age and the lift being out isnât the best also tv in the room no bigger than a stamp and signal was rubbish also WiFi not the best
The property is on the promenade and a very good location , the owners of the property are very helpful and friendly very good hot breakfast and cereals ,
Terrible experience. No one picked up my calls 24 hrs before check-in. When I arrived, the lift wasnât working at all (not just âsometimesâ like they claimed), and I waited nearly 2 hours at reception with no staff in sight. Breakfast was supposed to be until 9 AM, but they cleared everything early everyday up until 3 days of my stay â looked more like cost-cutting than hospitality. Worst of all, a staff member agreed to let me check out at 11 on my last stay at the hotel, but a rude woman (maybe the owner?) barged in, cursed at me, got in my face and threw my luggage out. I felt completely bullied and humiliated. No guest should ever be treated like this. This place was a huge mistake â avoid this nightmare of a hotel at all costs.
Never again.
Stayed for 3 days and had to use same one towel the whole time....had to ask for a toilet roll.....place is very very dated....and the receptionist/cleaner needs to learn to be more polite to her guests !
This is old property and as such doesn't have all the facilities modern property has. Nevertheless everything was clean, if not a little compact, due to two additional beds in the room. Obviously no room for anywhere to sit comfortably. Ideal for the short break and value for money. Excellent simple but full English breakfast. Comfy beds.
