Experience Stunning Sunsets at Prime Hook Beach!

Escape the crowds and unwind at Prime Hook Beach, a hidden gem on the Delaware Bay just off Route 1. Conveniently located near Rehoboth and Lewes, this peaceful retreat offers a natural beach with gentle waves and a gradual slope—perfect for kids and dogs to swim safely. Spend your days searching for seashells, flipping horseshoe crabs, or simply relaxing by the water.

Our home backs onto a beautiful wildlife refuge, providing a serene backdrop for your stay, with sandy beach access just steps away across the quiet residential street.
Our home offers the perfect blend of comfort and coastal charm, featuring 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and an open-concept floor plan with water views from every window. The sleeping arrangements include two bedrooms with queen sized beds and one bedroom with full over full bunk beds. The house sleeps 6 total.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a large fridge, gas stove, full dishwasher and a spacious toaster oven (fits a casserole dish or pizza). Please note: we do not have a full oven. We provide all pots, pans, dishes, and serving ware, along with a drip coffee maker and Keurig—plus coffee, creamer, and sugar to get you started! You may even fire up the gas grill on the side deck and enjoy a cookout!

Bring your furry friend—our home and the beach are dog-friendly! We kindly ask that you clean up after your pet and keep them on a leash when outside.

We’ve taken care of the details, so you can relax! Your stay includes:

IMPORTANT NOTICE
As of September 1st, 2026, we will no longer be renting out our beloved bayside retreat. Over the past 10 years, we've been incredibly fortunate to share our home with so many wonderful guests-families making memories, couples celebrating honeymoons, babies enjoying their first beach days, and even dogs experiencing their first (and sometimes last) adventures by the sea.
This was not an easy decision, but we remain committed to providing a five-star experience for every guest until our final rental day.

It was very welcoming to our dog. We've come the last three years for a family birthday celebration and to visit the beach and look for shells and rocks. The house was clean and we'd likely come back next year if possible!

Our time at this cozy cottage was truly delightful! The house just sparkled when we walked in! The vistas from the back porch as well as all of the windows gave us wonderful scenery to enjoy. The walk across the street to the beach kept us going back for more!The well organized kitchen allowed us to prepare our meals efficiently and quickly. The beds were very comfortable and extra blankets and pillows were readily available. We also enjoyed excellent communication with our hosts. My grandson captured all of our thoughts about our the stay the best when he said, "It's so hard to leave! Can we come back?" We appreciate all the efforts that have gone into making our time at Prime Hook Beach so welcoming and so comfortable!

Relaxing and peaceful getaway

Loved our trip to Primehook beach. This property has such a beautiful view from the back deck and is so close to the beach access. Loved how quiet and peaceful it was and that we could bring our dogs with us! Close enough to Rehoboth that we spent some time there as well to play mini golf and take the dogs for ice cream.

My family loved our stay at this cottage at the beach. Can't beat the views and beach access. The cottage was clean and very well-stocked with basics (and more). For those traveling with young children, there was a nice selection of toys, games, and beach toys. It's also a great home base for exploring all the surrounding towns and beaches.

Amazing location

This was our first stay in Prime Hook and we will most definitely be back. It was so wonderful to stay away from the hustle of the main beach towns. The deck was perfection and we loved walks on the beach with the dogs. It was great that all the extras were included and Chris graciously checked in to be sure our needs were met. 5 stars!

Wonderful Weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and definitely plan to return! The location is beautiful, with water views from the front and back of the house. Short walk to the beach to watch the sunrise and stunning sunsets from the back deck. Great place to stay!
