Osvaldo and Yoselyn run a amazing place. Eco farm and lodge are settled in the middle of the jungle (Toucan, howler/spider monkey, parrots...). Remote for sure but local taxi easy to organize. They work a lot to provide a very sustainable/green stay (energy, water supply, home grown food...) and are very friendly to share their practice and knowledge.
Really great staff who really know the area and cultivate the farm. They can give you information on ecology you won't find outside of guided tour groups in the park, and there's also yoga. The property is beautiful and it is easy to see birds.
It is a pretty primitive property and so you should be expecting bug bites and no modern comforts. Bathing in rainwater is amazing, but it is also not warm. Also the ants really bite- I was itchy for a week afterward. So be careful.
Casa pequena is a lovely place held by a genuinely nice young couple. For nature and simplicity lovers this place is like heaven. Comfort is basic overall and the owners offer the option to have lunch and dinner on site with good local food. Internet access is a scare ressource only accessible from the main building for the time being but you don't really go there to spend your day on social networks. This is better to have your own car and a 4x4 is needed to access the site and the beaches nearby. Overall both us and our children (10 and 7) loved the place and the tenants, always eager to spend time to share their knowledge and sense of humor. Thanks Yos and Osvaldo !
