The hotel staff were kind, helpful, friendly, and asked if we needed anything several times in our two day stay. They met and exceeded our expectations. The room was clean, the bathroom was awesome with separate toilet room, shower, tub, and two sinks. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the Verge Kalifa (the tallest building in the world).

Great Location. Great Staff. Didn't get up for breakfast on any of the 5 days, what a waste !!! The Oriental restaurant is absolutely superb. The outside bar looked fantastic ( underage son, so could not go). Will definately stay again if we revisit.

clean rooms with courteous staff . pool is very small so can be disappointing. hotel is on the older side with smallish lobby. the food was very good esp bombay brasserie - choice of bakery items and fruits and spread can be better in breakfast. overall good experience. Lounge has limited selection - do not recommend as plenty of better eating out options outside and with limited food and drink times it looses its value. if want resort style experience then taj exotica is much better option. overall good hotel but don’t expect resort style ambience. lifts can be very busy but very welcoming staff overall.

I arrived in Dubai from the US on Wed afternoon. At 1:30 am Thurs, water was gushing from the ceiling into my bathroom. A handful of maintenance workers rushed up to the 11th floor. My clothes, suitcase, and other items were drenched. I was moved to a similar room on the 5th floor where they pushed two twin beds together to call it a kindsize. I was surprised that no one had contacted me to follow up. I was told someone tried to call, but I wasn't in my room at the time, and that the hotel wanted to offer me a meal or a sauna. When I finally spoke with the manager, he apologized sincerely and politely. He offered a meal or a sauna, but I didn’t have time for either. However, the day before I left, I thought I would take the hotel up on a sauna. I thought about the 1.5 Indian oil massage. When I called the manager, I was again surprised when he said the hotel could only accommodate 1-hour! I responded that I would cover the differential. After a bunch of emails they reimbursed 1 day of my stay, paid for the full sauna experience, and covered my incidentals (about $100). They wrote that I would be upgraded on my next trip. However, I won’t be returning to the Taj Hotel chain. This place is stingy and cheap. I am not a complaining type of person, and if I order chicken for dinner and they bring me steak, I don’t care. The facility is centrally located, and the staff is awesome. The entire penny-pinching experience left me with a terrible impression.
