Hotel Kompas is a beautiful property right by the Lapad Bay beachfront and a very pretty promenade along the water. Even though our days were busy touring and visiting sites, our family looked forward to coming back and relaxing by the beach (it’s a pebble beach so need swim shoes), using the indoor pool and sauna. The hotel itself is very nice with a nice lobby that had the perfect view of the sunset. Our rooms were also nice except that both our 2 “deluxe double room, balcony, sea view” rooms (rms 1010 and 1011) had tall trees obstructing our sea view. Please see photos including how these rooms are described online. I did bring up with front desk and staff, as I was confused with the obstructed views but, yup, they did confirm I had “deluxe” rooms and that was that. Otherwise, very happy with hotel, amenities, included breakfast and staff friendliness. Btw, it’s not as near to Old Town as I thought, we were a family of 5 and Uber made sense, but we loved it anyway. There are several restaurant choices along the promenade, which is very pretty.

Great location, with beautiful views and easy walk to restaurants, shops and bus into old town. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, large rooms (and we particularly liked the daily chocolates). Excellent breakfast, hotel bars and restaurants also very good.

Thank you to all the amazing and friendly staff at Hotel Kompass for making our stay so memorable and special. I would consider you a 5 star hotel, quality of the room, facilities, food far exceeded our expectations. Breakfast and dinner at your restaurant was superb and the evening live performers was awesome. Location with easy access to bus stop was great, lots of nice restaurants nearby and loved swimming in nearby Lapad Beach. We will recommend your hotel to everyone!!!

What a pleasant surprise.

Lovely hotel with good atmosphere, apart from restaurant, which was a bit stark inside and out, so didnt eat there. Plenty of choices for dining. Walk along cliff path to Levantan restaurant for great dinner hanging over the sea. Croatia in general a great surprise.

Beautiful property! Great location. Concierge was awful and rude. Bar staff also so slow and not friendly. The front desk staff was very helpful.
