Carsethorn is steeped in history, John Paul Jones, known as âThe Father of the American Navyâ, was born just a mile away and frequented the village as a young man.

Further afield the Galloway Forest Park not only has some stunning scenery but is also the UKâs first Dark Sky Park where over 7000 stars and planets are visible with the naked eye.
