Excellent stay for a dance competition

The room was lovely and had a camp bed for my 7 year old. She loved that it was there just for her. The coffee was excellent in the room. Everything was clean and there was plenty of space. I loved having the long bench in our room.

Comfortable and convenient

This hotel could not be more convenient for Dundee city centre. A brief walk from the railway station, and from there the city is just a short walk as well. Comfortable rooms with all the expected amenities, I was also grateful for an upgraded room. My one criticism I'd have is that the room was very dark, particularly the bathroom - but that seems to be a trait of Malmaison properties throughout. Great stay all in all.

Okay but was underwhelmed

Overall the hotel was in good condition but it has seen better days. Chips out of walls and skirting in particular. We stayed in the junior suite and although the room was big and had a bath, I wouldn’t say it was that much more impressive than a standard room. Could have done with a better layout and a sofa or something to make the most of the extra space and make more like a “suite”. We had an evening meal in the restaurant too and we weren’t very impressed with the standard of food. We are vegan and there were very limited choices (only 2). We had the black bean burger and they were pretty dry and not very exciting. The chips and salsa dip was the best bit. However cannot fault the staff we dealt with who were all extremely helpful and friendly.

The room was very dark even with all the lamps on, I should have asked for an accessible room as this room had a bath with shower over it no use as am disabled, used a disability scooter so you would think that the receptionists would have said room was not accessible, there was only 1 chair in the room so one of us had to sit on bed, the bed was very uncomfortable pillow the same we did ask for other pillows but they were as bad as the first lot, thankfully we only live 45 mins away so we went home a day early
