The place is a bit worn around the edges, and I found the Wi-Fi to be very unreliable. It is quiet, though, and convenient for Perth and Dundee.

Useful stop-off near A90. Absolutely brilliant friendly, helpful staff... the bar was really good. Hotel room could do with upgrading - this could be a brilliant 'destination hotel' if they spent money upgrading and modernising the rooms.

Staff were very friendly. Food was excellent and great value for money. Room small, but clean and ideal for 2-3 nights. It's not the Ritz, but I will be back to stay later this month and next. Overall it has a warm and friendly atmosphere, which you don't get in larger more expensive hotels.

Expect a quaint atmosphere, a quiet night's sleep (if not too close to the pub), a tired-looking but clean room, and expect to bang your head on the remarkably low ceiling in the bathroom 😂
