Economical choice close to the uni

Close to Otago Uni and many places to eat. Older unit but comfortable. Shower was definitely the low point.

I loved my upstairs room with a view. Clean, spacious, tidy and the bed was so comfy. The best thing about this hotel is that it is pet friendly and I have two indoor-only, well-trained cats. Unfortunately, I had some young and unruly partying guests late at night in the room next door, however, the hotel management sorted them out immediately upon notification and peace was restored. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be close to a convenient main road, and within walking distance of the Botanic Gardens, university, museum, shops cafes, restaurants and the main street of town. I strolled safely up to the scenic Octagon at night for a lovely dinner - lots of options.

The cleanliness, condition and service of the hotel were very good. Unfortunately the lack of double glazing in the bedroom meant the all night parties across the street, made it very difficult to sleep.

Older but well kept, free assigned parking, helpful friendly staff, close to all restaurants, walk to botanical gardens (maybe not at night as there was a lot of garbage on the street that way so not sure of safety), close to university, comfy bed, traffic noise at night but stopped by 11ish.

I’m generally satisfied with the service and room. Only comment is that the toilet flush is too strong that the water spills all over the floor. Being on the side of the road, it can also be very noisy.
