Moving upstairs to the main floor, you'll find a large living room with a gas fireplace, grand piano, and floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing beautiful views of the north valley. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and scenic vistas from the front balcony or gather around the fully equipped open kitchen and dining area for a delicious meal. There is plenty of seating for the whole family on one of the many sofas or window seats around the room. You can also enjoy the fresh mountain air and great views from the front balcony with outdoor seating, firepit, and gas grill. The open kitchen is fully stocked and makes it easy to cook for many. There is also a dining area, a half bath, and a laundry room on this floor. Another queen bedroom with a full en suite bath is also on the main floor, along with a lovely study room equipped with lots of books and a TV, making it a great place to curl up and read a book. The third floor houses the elegant master suite with a walk-in closet and a luxurious master bath with a soaking tub. Family Reunion

For a large group of 20 this was the perfect spot. Everyone had a bed and there were great areas to gather. The home is situated in a beautiful wooded area and very private. The grandchildren loved eating their meals out on the balcony, which gave the adults ability to have nice dinner conversations inside. The stars at night were breathtaking!

The house was beautiful, and we had plenty of room for the 16 of us. The view was gorgeous, and we enjoyed our stay. Glad that they had access to the garage as in previous rentals, they garage was usually off limits.Host replied when I texted her and was also able to get into the house an hour earlier than regular check in time which was nice after a long day of travel.Only downfall of the rental, was that there not enough trash bags for our stay and felt like more should have been provided for the amount of people staying in the house.

Great place for a Med-Big Group

The cabin is great. Location is awesome. You’re 7min away from the hot springs. (I highly recommend you go) and an easy 20min to Purgatory Ski Resort. We were a family of 15 (4 couples (1elderly)) and it fit everyone very comfortably. There were enough bathrooms, no issues with hot water. We were a little worried about incurring charges on things that were already there but we communicated about everything in the first few hours of check in and had no issues. The place is older so it’s got some wear and tear but overall a good place to stay. Price was a little high but we were there over the holiday week from Christmas to New Years and I think the only way to find a better price would have been to book 1yr in advance. The living space is great. It has a beautiful view of the valley and there was plenty of space for everyone to hang out without being on top of each other. We’d stay here again. Everyone in the group was happy!

Blame.

We were blamed for several damages to the property and even theft that in no way we are to blame. We were always gonna lose the damage deposit because of the cigarette butts outside but we didn’t steal a copper mug or break wine glasses. When we opened the stove door, it fell off the hinge in the first five minutes when we were making a pizza. No one used the hot tub, so who tore the handle?? No one used a crockpot, where did the base go? All other issues I can neither confirm nor deny. But don’t blame us for that other malarkey. Oh yeah and we lost the key. I’ll own that one.

Horrible experience

When I got to this property I noticed some water on the floor by a toilet , wipes it up , noticed the handle didn’t go up after I flushed. Now property won’t give me back my deposit because I should have called them to tell them. To me it wasn’t a big deal. Now saying the floor and wall caved in due to water damage. Obviously a preexisting problem ! They’ve been unprofessional and unethical during this process. I have talked to contractors and inspectors (showed them the pictures and emails ). All have said it was an interior problem , nothing we could have done to prevent it.

Perfect cozy Sunsets

Our stay was fantastic, the home was big enough for our entire family of 21. It was our first time in Durango and won’t be our last. We enjoyed this house very much, the home was clean and we had everything needed to cook and sit around with family making memories while also admiring the view from the home. I would definitely recommend this home if you want to sit back and relax enjoy time with family.

Gorgeous and Comfortable

Our group of 21 friends and family stayed here during the Animas Valley Balloon Rally. The location was absolutely perfect for watching the event. Fall in Durango is simply stunning! The house had every amenity needed and everything was clean. The managers were very quick to respond when a simple request was made. Zero complaints. We would definitely recommend this to any large group!

Such a wonderful home!

We stayed here the third week of September - such a wonderful home with plenty of room for our group of family and friends. We were here to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday, and we had a fabulous time in the Durango area, including - of course - riding the Durango-Silverton train one day. We cooked several of our group meals at the house, and were so pleased with the well-equipped kitchen. The home was very clean and so comfortable - plus a terrific view out the living room window. We would highly recommend it.

Family reunion

20 of us came to Durango from 9 states for a family wedding. Staying together in this beautiful home allowed us to reconnect over morning coffee on the balcony, then drive to downtown Durango or the mountains during the day, and finally relax and cook meals together in the evenings, all the while enjoying beautiful views from the many windows in this open design home. We were all so very comfortably accommodated and made many happy memories together during our time here. There was communication, and I highly recommend! We hope to return.

Family reunion with 9 “members” in Durango.

Very good experience! Beautiful view from the deck; large nice sitting room behind with same view. All 9 of us could rest and eat together. The beds in the top loft has a very steep ladder, and was not used by us. Although I have rated our experience at 4-5 stars, I have to comment on one strange approach. We were advised to buy extra toilet paper rolls, which proved necessary! Management needs to change that; causing unnecessary hassle because of not enough toilet paper is about the most stupid management decision I have experienced in my rentals — for a nice rental to do this, it must have been done in total ignorance of customer goodwill triggers? And at that, this one is basically cost free!

Breathtaking Views

Our family enjoyed this home so much. Everywhere you look the views were breathtaking! We spent time hiking, playing games, and watching movies with our adult children and their spouses. We loved the hot tub and the piano (my son and I play.) My mother-in-law stayed on the main floor and she was very happy with the accommodations. Lovely home

This is a really nice place for a large group of people. Plenty of sleep spaces. Beautiful views. Very peaceful. We got to spend time with two deer who wandered just off the back deck foraging. Do not stay at this property if you’re allergic to animals. There was dog (or cat) hair everywhere in every room. The home was clean but it is understandably immensely difficult to remove all animal fur. We had one individual who had a terrible time with her allergies and asthma. One other issue we had was the double light fixture directly over the kitchen island where you prepare (and sit to eat) food. It was filthy and had dead bug carcasses on it. We would stay there again though.

What a great trip!

We had a really great getaway with our friends and family. The house was beautiful and had all the essentials needed for large meals and plenty of space for all of us to enjoy! The house was in a great location and the views were incredible. We had a wonderful stay and would defiantly book again!

Accused of Damages

Group of snowboarding adults stayed in this beautiful home. Issue was that I was notified after booking the home that this company accuses renters of damages so I went ahead and emailed the company before arriving questioning this issue. As soon as I arrived I took photos and notes and emailed the company right away. After our departure I received an email asking me about damages they have found. Now I’m not sure if I’m going to receive my deposit. And what we are being accused of are damages that we did not cause and other people in the comments have been accused of similar damages.

Great Views, Great Home

The house was very clean and everything as pictured. Note that the fireplaces are electric if that matters to you. There were so many nice touches (Christmas decor - yeah!) and well stocked soaps, tissues, a kind note. Very welcoming! They were responsive when we had a small maintenance issue. The kitchen is truly well stocked. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The large family room was wonderful for hanging out, unplugged, and taking in the views of falling snow. Speaking of snow, the road and driveway were plowed timely and we had no issues using our 4 wheel drive. Thank you for a wonderful Christmas setting for our family!
