Staff was very friendly and professional. The views were lovely with the river right outside. It is a very walkable area with grocery and pharmacy literally across the street. It has secure underground parking and a good selection for breakfast. I thought this was a great place to stay and would definitely return.

Great Stay

The room was nice and clean. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly. I wish they had more towels and coffee options, all we had were light and decaf. The room was actually quiet even though the hotel is right next to the road.

We always try to stay here when we’re in Durango. The check-in is straightforward, the rooms are always clean, and the location is priceless for downtown walkability. We’re not usually not breakfast people but the breakfast here is pretty great!

The property was all that I expected from HIE. The staff was excellent and most helpful. As a solo traveler, safety is key, and this location offers secure parking, safe access to the walking trail along the river in addition to a really good breakfast buffet.

Always a great place but could use a bit of help

Breakfast options were great, staff at the front desk as well. However, our room wasn't cleaned on our first day, and then the second day, only one bed was made and the towels not renewed?

I enjoyed the central location of the property. It was so close to many of the things i did on my trip. The breakfast in the mornings were very good and a nice start to my days. The room was very clean and i loved the water pressure in the shower. Overall this was a very enjoyable place to stay and it made my trip to Durango, CO that much better.

Nice motel but very generic. We have stayed at the General Palmer hotel before and it has much more character and a more interesting breakfast and frankly a friendlier staff , more space in the room, and a better location without a parking charge. We won't stay at the Holiday Inn Express again.
