Guest access
While staying at The Blue Lake House guests will have access to the entire property except for any rooms with a locked door. Please do not try and unlock these doors, these rooms consist of maintenance supplies. To reaffirm, guests will have access to the lower level, main level, and upper level along with any unlocked rooms existing there.

Other things to note
Please note there is a $25 fee per person/night after the 6th guest. The breakdown of these charges should show up under Guest Paid section.

Your furry friends are welcome, with a $200 fee with 2 pets maximum.

This was a lovely property! The outdoor spaces were delightful, and we enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. The photographs accurately reflected the interior and exterior spaces, and the interior was comfortable and well-laid-out. We especially loved how light-filled the house was, and the walk-out level game and television room was definitely a bonus! The host was responsive, helpful, and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again!

Would’ve been fantastic if it wasn’t for the fact I had to reach out to the property host right before the trip to get check in information and if the place was cleaned before we arrived. For the amount of money paid for three nights to show up and the place is absolutely disgusting with hair, messy beds, food left over in the fridge, trash, as well as towels in the washing machine with an odour in the house of sweaty dudes, it would’ve been great. Spent two hours cleaning to then be told they could send a cleaner at 10pm that night. Told them to send it the next day. Contacted VRBO and getting refunded. Seems like a great place but the management is terrible. Nothing has been done yet to rectify the situation besides trying to have cleaners come during our stay. By the way this was for a bachelor party for my brother. You’d think something of that magnitude would result in some care. Disappointed overall.

Property is nice on the inside. Location is not favourable as it is not lakefront and doesn’t have many opportunities for lakefront activities nearby. Otherwise it is fun if you enjoy sauna and hot tubs and bbqs.

Weekend Retreat

Beautiful well-maintained house with lots of amenities. My sister and I enjoyed making ourselves lattes in the morning using the coffee station and relaxing on the deck. Lots of space for a bigger group and very close to Haliburton.

Absolutely gorgeous and fun

The cottage itself was both cozy and luxurious. The host definitely thought of all the details and we felt welcomed. I only wished the description mentioned the outdoor surveillance cameras, but they weren't a deal breaker and I would probably want them there, too, if I were the host. The beach and huge playground in town were just a short drive and made the kids' week. We made some great memories here. Thank you!!

This property is amazing, everything seemed to have been considered to make life comfortable. Facilities were great and as described. Beautiful kitchen great open spaces. Cleanliness was second to none. Practical aspects of life including facilities for washing clothes were to a very high standard. Fitted our family comfortably, kids also had a great time. A true gem

Cottages likes these are hard to find and we’re definitely happy to have stayed here. It is clean, spacious, and has everything you need for the enjoyment of the whole family. The area is really nice as well and was only 2 hours away from Toronto.

We loved the Blue Lakehouse!

The property was beautiful and exactly as depicted in the photos. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna and the close by snow shoe trails. The cottage is very baby and dog friendly. Our host even provided a pack and play for our little one so we didn't have to bring one with us. She was also very responsive when we had any questions about the property. We look forward to returning to the Blue Lakehouse and hope to make it an annual trip. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place to stay!

This home was exactly as pictured, very clean, bright and was ready for our arrival. The amenities were all as pictured and made our stay very enjoyable. Grocery store was only a short drive which made the stay convenient. The location was peaceful, which is exactly what we needed. Great for couple or a family getaway. Did not want to leave! Would highly recommend - will be back.

Christmas at the Blue Lake House

We spent a magical family Christmas at the Blue Lake House. The chalet is even more beautiful than the photos and comfortably accommodated our family of 5 plus grandparents. The cottage was decorated for Christmas, making our stay even more special. LiNi is very responsive and answered our questions very quickly. The Haliburton area is perfect for a winter getaway with excellent cross country skiing nearby. We also enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. We will remember our Christmas at LiNi’s cottage always.

My wife and I decided to stay at this beautiful blue lake house to celebrate her birthday with our 2 children and our dog in November. We fell in love with this lake house. As soon as you arrive you can tell that the host put their heart and soul into this place and paid attention to every single detail. The place was spotless and the hosts really thought ahead and anticipated and provided anything you may need and more. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the sauna during the cold weather and watching the snow fall through those huge windows was magical. The host was extremely attentive and responded immediately to any questions we had. We are already planning a trip to return in the summer to be able to utilize the lake. We have stayed at many short term rentals over the years and this place has been the best so far without question. Thank you the great stay and we can’t wait to go back!
