J'ai vraiment tout aimé . Les gens étaient très accueillants. L'emplacement est située dans un lieu isolé alors c'est très reposant et calmant. J'ai tellement bien dormi que je recommande aux gens qui on besoin de décompresser c'est la place.

Le calme champêtre

Établissement de type B'n'B tenu par un couple fort sympathique. Le gite est un peu en retrait des grands centres, donc soit très bien situé si vous êtes en quête de quiétude, un peu moins bien si vous souhaitez être au pied des pistes de skis ou des sentiers. Mais peu importe votre motif, bien que juché haut sur la colline, le centre ville de Montpellier n'est qu'à quelques minutes de voiture. La maison, bien entretenue, est magnifique. Le ciel nocturne y est extraordinaire et la vue sur la vallée superbe. Des chèvres et chevaux de ferme complètent la liste des habitants des lieux. Des cerfs de Virginie viennent aussi faire leur coucou de temps à autres. Finalement, le petit déjeuner était délicieux, de même que le café. Un détail fondamental pour bien amorcer la journée! 😉

Casal idoso simpático recebe muito bem. Próximo da cidade com vista pra montanha. Frequente visita de animais silvestres que se podem ver pela janela do quarto.

The place was great! The owners are very kind! The breakfast is amazing! The room was very clean and beautiful. I definitely recommend it They only serve good quality products. I loveeeeed the place

We went home to a place we haven't been before

Excellent location / room and hosts! Ann-Marie and Joe went above and beyond to provide a warm,cozy and wonderful stay. From the gorgeous sunsets to the deer grazing in the fields below our beautiful room, to the friendly and delicious breakfast of omelets cooked in coconut oil surrounded by bacon, home made yogurt with compote and toast, to the spirited and thought provoking conversations, it didn't seem like a bed and breakfast, but rather a welcome stay in their home. Highly recommend!!

I wish I had more time to stay in this beautiful B&B. The accommodations were exquisite, and everything was well-run and well-kept. I took a chance to stay there since the more recent reviews were terrible, but all of the others were top-notch. I am so happy that I listened to my intuition. The property, inside and out, was beyond my expectations, and I will definitely be staying there again. Ann Marie and Joe are excellent hosts, and Joe even cooked an amazing breakfast!!! You are one lucky woman, Ann Marie! The vistas from the room and the main building/B&B were majestic, to say the least. My stay was exactly what I needed during this time of high stress in our lives. The only down part of my stay was when I had to leave...I can't wait to go back! One thing I will suggest is that people not have heavy luggage since one has to contend with stairs, but then, how many houses have elevators? LOL! Thank you, Ann Marie and Joe, again, for being such amazing proprietors!

We put a lot of energy and resources into making a healthy and delicious breakfast. Locally sourced whenever possible, organic, nonGMO. We honor all dietary restrictions as well. Good breakfast. Hosts did not allow passage into their kitchen and there was nowhere to sit on the property except our room. On the second night, we lost all water, so could not flush and we needed a toilet badly. We left early, did not pay for the second night

Suzanne we enjoyed meeting you and Michael and hosting your stay. We had such friendly conversations and you were so concerned about Joe when he wasn’t feeling well on your 2nd night with us…..we surely didn’t know you didn’t like going up the stairs or having a guest room with a private detached bath. We did not get that feedback. The water issue happened at midnight on your 2nd night when you were sleeping. We had the well contractor in the next morning at 8 am who diagnosed the problem as a broken relay switch which was replaced and we had running water again 20 minutes later. We served you a very nice breakfast your 1st morning which was all organic and NonGMO. You had our place to hang out all day and enjoyed it after your sightseeing. You had a lovely meal downtown at Sarducci’s. As for our kitchen for sanitation reasons we do not have guests in there handling our utensils and opening refrigerator doors and using our scoop to get ice from our fridge. We do that for our guests as we sanitize our hands multiple times during the day. It gives everyone a higher confidence level about sanitation practices. After we asked you to not get ice with our hand scoop out of the freezer you chose to do that a second time again at which time I had to intervene and tell you again that we’ll get your ice for you. We told you upfront that we’d been in the middle of a renovation project with hardwood floors being sanded and refinished and all furniture had been moved to the front porch. The tragic flood happened in Montpelier July 10 so many requests came in for rooms and still are thus we had no time to complete our renovation project. As Fall Foliage guests are finishing up now we can allocate our time to organizing and putting back everything in its place. We explained that to you. We are sorry the water stopped running at midnight on your 2nd night. We offered to buy your breakfast at a local restaurant. You decided to get your breakfast so we let that be. We hope you had a good day after you checked out and are sorrybthatvyoubwere not pleased with your stay.

Our experience at High Hill inn was definitely not representative of the cost to spend the night. Although our room was neat it was very small and upstairs which meant we had to carry luggage up steps. Our bathroom was only assessable from the hall, which was not very convenient. Our breakfast was very good but the kitchen and entire downstairs was completely cluttered with “stuff”, piled in any open area. The porch where we entered was piled with boxes and the yard was very unkept. The pictures on their website misrepresent what High Hill Inn looks like. Definitely not worth the $$$.

Thank you for your comments. As we stated the day you arrived we had just finished renovating the 1st floor - sanding and refinishing the cherry hardwood floors - and had to temporarily relocate many furnishings. The flood 3 miles away in Montpelier caused lodging in Montpelier to close temporarily so we received countless phone calls for bookings. We did not have free time to re-organize and put supplies and accessories away. We now have time with the busy Fall Foliage season over to finish this renovation project. Glad you liked your room and your breakfast. We really focus on a high quality Organic NonGMO Full Hot Cooked Breakfast - 2 courses, fresh and local when available. This is the number 1 compliment we receive from our guests - our hearty organic high quality breakfast. Also a top compliment we continually receive is about the guest room comfort in high quality mattresses, linens, design and views!

A bit difficult to find but, wow, when we got there, what an amazing place - fantastic views, deer in the garden, sunset!!!!
