There is Full service Marina right next door with Jet Ski, Pontoon, and Kayak rentals! All resort renters receive 10% off watercraft rentals at the Marina after booking! Also offered is a Kiteboarding shop also next door offering rentals and lessons!

- Please ensure that your vehicle(s) are parked at the cabin you are staying at, and be kind to not park in front of another cabin's view of the beach/water if possible.
- REMEMBER: Our Cabins are on the beach, and some areas of our lot are sandy and can sometimes make it difficult for small or lower cars to park in some locations. If you have any concerns or difficulty upon arrival, please contact us for assistance.

Pet friendly but renters need to keep their dogs on leashes and pick up their dogs messes. Thought our dog was going to get charged a couple of times. But otherwise excellent stay! Can't wait till next year to stay again with all of my siblings! Managers helped with figuring out the payment for us to extend our stay! Highly recommend Timberlane Resorts!

This property and area r great. We had a blast and so did the dog. U have your own sandy beach also all sand in water hardly any rocks. Cabins r nicer than the pics. ( they said they r in the process of updating their website and pics). Love this place...Will b back

Nice but a little strange

The cabin was great and very close to Tawas Point State Park. Everything was very clean. However, apparently May is they're preseason so there was little if any housekeeping. We had to make and strip the bed, were expected to wipe down bathrooms, sweep floors, etc. Not a big deal but there's always the threat that extra charges might be added.

Be prepared

Was not lighted very well. Was hard to find which cabin was yours. Wasnt told beforehand that a regular car would probably get stuck. Good thing we had a 4 wheel drive truck. Was a beautiful cabin. Have rented many cabins and houses over the years and have never had one that did not supply extra garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels. Even though i always clean up after renting i have never been told i had to vacuum, sweep and wipe down sinks, etc.

Spotless, lovely, quiet & spectacular Lake Huron Sunsets

Everything was A-1! Spotless, large living area with comfy bed, large TV, nice couch, great kitchen/dining area & lovely bathrooms. Spacious areas between cabins are nice for privacy. We sat in the wonderful deck chairs to watch the gorgeous sunsets over the lake. BIG plus that it’s pet friendly! The beautiful State Park with a lighthouse (& another dog-friendly beach!) is within walking distance. Biking trails in East Tawas are second to none. We wanted to stay longer; we wish we lived here.

We loved staying at the Hickory Cottage. It was clean and very comfortable as well as dog friendly.

Great accomodations for my brother and sister inlaw as well as my wife and I. Our dogs also loved it! The sunsets were absolutely gorgeous. When we were there in early October we were the only renters and it was very peaceful. We would highly recommend staying at the Hickory cottage. Thank you very much for the wonderful accommodations.

Summer Vacation

The overall process was quick and easy to book and check in. Messages we're promptly responded to. The cabin was clean and well kept. The beach was nice, but we found quite a bit of broken glass. It would be great if the sand could be cleared of the debris. Thankfully, my 2 and 4 year olds didn't get their feet cut. The sunsets from the beach are the best around!

Awesome

The cabin was clean, the host was very nice and helpful. On the water, and when is that not beautiful in Michigan. Definitely will be back. Walk to the state park so much history with the light house. This place and the location is a must. Well worth it.

Communication was a little slow. Too much glass on the beach area, for the kids to have fun and run in the sand. Sofa sleeper was broken and so were the lawn chairs. Cozy lake cabin

Nice location, nice cabin! The only surprise we had is the listing stated queen pullout and single pullout in living room but the single wasn’t a pullout it was just an oversized sofa chair with ottoman but my 13 year old daughter thought it was perfect. Very near state park which we enjoyed but beware of ticks on primitive path. Loved the sunsets each night and the fireplace. Very relaxing weekend.
