Welcome to our Lake Oconee Lakefront cottage! This 1200 square foot, 2 BR cottage is very conveniently located just 10 minutes from the highways, close to multiple restaurants and shopping, yet appointed privately in the woods, right on top of the lake! Perfect location. Fantastic view! This open floor plan includes a fully stocked kitchen, all linens, 2 queen bedrooms, 2 couches(1 pullout), leather recliner, and 2 private decks with a view. Fast WiFi/Smart TV/Alexa Speaker/games. Charcoal grill, wood burning fireplace, large fire pit, Kayak, hammock, kids swing, and floats galore. Just a few steps to the private dock with multiple boat rental options available less than 2 miles away. Perfect swimmable cove with walk out beach. Woods to explore. This is a perfectly private Lakefront getaway close to anything you may need! PETS - Service animals and pre approved pets only please. We cannot allow shedding dogs due to my son’s allergies. 2 Pet limit if approved. We require all waste be picked up and pets be crated when gone. Any pet brought to property without pre approval or failure to follow pet rules will incur a $250 charge.

    Simply Amazing!

    This is one of the best places we have stayed! It was perfect for our time in Georgia! The host is so sweet and responsive! The views were incredible! The property was exactly what we were looking for and I could not be more grateful!

    It was a lovely place to relax for the weekend. We had one small issue but Lindsay was quick to respond and apologize. Would definitely stay again!

    A disappointment overall, inappropriate as VRBO

    Lakefront location but everything else was dreadful. The grounds have not been addressed for years, no exterior lighting at driveway making it a risky walk to the house in the dark, large branches came down on car. Musty, damp mildew odor in the home being masked by an air purifier, no screens to open windows for fresh air. Filthy laundry area - in need of functioning washer. There was no water pressure other than a trickle throughout the house. The owner claimed it was just a well filter needing change. That is an unacceptable reason. If that was the case, preemptive efforts should be made to change prior to guests staying - at least 2x per year is typical. The entire kitchen/cook area is lined with insect baits and ants in the cupboard. The owner claims it is because of the woods. We have lived for 15 years in deep woods and have NO INSECTS at home. Older opened food items were left in the fridge. The frying pans were unusable and should be discarded (we bought our own), the BBQ is beyond use -filthy and full of rust. It should be discarded. Regretfully, contacting the owner to rectify of our findings during our stay would be a moot point. All issues should have been resolved prior taking guests money. We should not be inconvenienced with cleaning folks or repairmen while trying to enjoy our vacation and especially after having paid good money. The lack of preparation for paying guests was inappropriate. I have pictures for those interested ask owner for my contact info

    Peaceful and cozy retreat

    We really enjoyed a quiet and peaceful location of the property. You will enjoy your time here if you are low maintenance and appreciate cozy, functional, pet friendly place with easy access to the lake. If you are looking for bells and whistles, then you need to look elsewhere. The house is small but we really only needed 1 bedroom anyway, the view from the living room is the best part. The dock is very close and we liked that we could just leave our kayaks on it overnight. Wish there were stairs going into the water but that’s just a matter of physical fitness. The communication is top notch and extremely fast ! The one recommendation would be to have the water hose available outside to clean up the outdoor furniture from bird stuff and debris. We didn’t use it really as we didn’t want to clean it . And a broom would be nice to clean the decks. The grill is a bit old but you can probably use it. Kitchen has everything you need for a small vacation. TV has cable to watch shows at night . Again, if you want an easy low impact getaway, this is the place for you !

    Relaxing long weekend by the lake

    This home was the perfect size and location for our quick family getaway over the Presidents Day weekend. Located near town and restaurants. The Kitchen was stocked for light cooking, beds were comfortable, and the sunroom was cozy with a great view of the lake. The dock was relaxing as well. This home is a great value!

    Cozy Lakehouse

    Beautifully decorated, comfortable, has everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Wonderful view of the lake from the family room. The lake was clean and warm enough to swim in in late Sept. The host was very accessible and friendly. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that I was disappointed that no screens meant that I couldn't open windows and doors. During the summer in Georgia, I wouldn't have wanted to (too hot and humid). But during the fall, It would have been nice to let the fresh air in. All in all, a sweet place though.

    Lovely, relaxing stay

    We had a relaxing and enjoyable long-weekend at the house, sitting on the dock, staring at the gorgeous lake, and floating around on tubes. The hosts were easy to contact and responsive, the house and surroundings were exactly as depicted in the listing and photos, and the location was easy-access to plenty of restaurants and sights like Athens and Covington. Pitch-perfect for myself, the wife and my sister. Highly recommend.

    Great quiet cove. Such a relaxing time on the lake, decks and dock. Enjoyed the great repour with the owner if I had a questions , she was quick to respond. Will return someday!!

    Lakefront cabin in an ideal quaint and cozy setting.

    We surprised family for Thanksgiving and traveled from California to Eatonton GA. This cozy cottage was so much better than we expected! The sun room addition has floor to ceiling windows and breathtaking views of the lake. The neighbors are not very close and the trees make you feel very secluded. Two decks off the sunroom to enjoy the outdoors. It was only a 15 min drive into the town of Eatonton to visit with our family. Everyone loved having a cup of coffee and sitting on the sofa looking out at the lake. During the day we all sat on the decks, a tiny bit of beach or out over the water on the dock. The house was very clean and had all the furnishings we needed. The owners communicated with us well and made sure to let us know that they were a text or a call away. We highly recommend this home and will definitely be returning again soon!
